How long is the Logan commitment to the OCC ?

I don’t think there was a number of years put on paper @pfloyd. IMO Logan will have the opportunity to join a few different conferences in the coming years. Obviously they could remain in the OCC. They could petition the MSL (even though most think it’s a dying conference), the MSL could split up and a new conference created. The TSL would take Logan in a heartbeat. The FAC could accept the chiefs if the conference realigns. The TVC may be an option if the conference wanted to expand to 3 divisions. As always, the old SEOAL could reform.

Conference shifting may pick up sooner rather than later.

The MSL idea is dead for Logan. There's a reason for this, that doesn't involve Logan (it's not an issue of the MSL being anti-Logan to be clear.) I agree, though, that the FAC is an interesting one to keep an eye on down the line.

A 3rd big school division of the TVC can't exist without Athens, and we all know they will never again agree to be placed in a division with schools their size.

The one league opportunity down the line that hasn’t been mentioned yet: Logan forms a break-off league with Lancaster, Teays Valley, along with Zanesville and a couple other wild card schools (i.e. Bloom-Carroll, Watkins Memorial etc.)

That’s if the Chieftains don’t join a league oriented around the Southeast District. Anything in the Central District, it’s going to have Lancaster tied into the equation.

I'll stick my neck out for Coach Eddy because he was always a solid coach and person who loved his teams and put everything he had into coaching them. If he ever decides he wants to come back to Gallipolis, we'd love to have him back. His teams played with fire and grit.

Logan's commitment to the OCC? Seems like it took Franklin Heights three years to leave. This season was their last for football. The league usually reorganizes conferences every four years. 2024-25 was the first year of the last shuffle.

If Logan will be down for awhile, some Logan players could always open enroll at NY. The Buckeyes will have some nice classes coming up and should do well for the foreseeable future. Definitely more success to be had in the small school playoffs.
