Massillon Washington beat that team from Canada like 45 to 7 and called the dogs off in the 2nd half so must not have been a very good juco team

Yes, but Massillon is a strong D III team. 😀

Clarkson North is an average team at best. Massillon Washington is a DII powerhouse, not DIII. That said, I’ve seen multiple posts stating that Ironton could possibly beat any team in Ohio, regardless of division. I’ve rarely seen anything more absurd on this site. Anyone looking at this game without Ironton blinders on sees this game for what it is, an uphill battle for Ironton. I said it earlier and I’ll say it again, my heart says 21-20, Fighting Tigers bring it home. My brain says 42-20, Liberty Center’s o-line and d-line take over the game. I hope my brain is wrong.

Ironton’s loss against Clarkson means nothing come Saturday. All that matters is how they play against LC.

Good luck to Ironton. Bring a title back to Ironton and southern Ohio!

Comparing North to Juco
and Massillon to DIII college....it was all in fun on an otherwise site filled with too much I love myself or my Johnson is larger than yours comments

I remember reading something before about not being able to pick up on sarcasm and something about a spectrum. Anyway, I forget exactly what was being discussed. On to football. Irontons toughest opponent Saturday is Ironton. On the field, on paper and on the sideline, Ironton is just as good or better than LC. What Ironton will be tasked with overcoming is themselves from a psychological standpoint in my opinion. Just gotta be ready to hit and get hit & respond. Maintain the edge and aggressive mentality through any in game adversity and keep being the aggressor. Don't let the game be too big and approach it with the exact same kill everything mentality they attacked Prep, Burg, and WLS with. That's the task. Locking in and exorcising the ghosts around this game & putting em to rest. I personally believe the Fighting Tigers are going to make Ironton proud and the rest of southern Ohio envious. I'm looking forward to reading all the off season passive aggressive hate on here after the Fighting Tigers hoist #3.

Did LC best Massillon? I don't get how this all relates to Ironton vs LC. What are we suppose to gleen from that?

I think our D can contain their run game. But I don't care how good our skill people are, if their front 5 is beating our front 5, we're done, just like 2 years ago against SR
I hope we bring home #3, but anyone picking Ironton by more than 1 score doesn't know Ohio HS football.
The style & pace of the game will be dictated by who wins 1st and 3rd downs. LC has an opportunity to try to play the game in a phone booth and make it a short game by controlling the ball and keeping irontons offense off the field for long periods. But in order to do that they have to consistently win on 1st and 3rd down.
So far this year that's easier said than done vs Ironton. If Ironton gets a 14 point lead = game over for LC.

All the state championship games should be played at the shoe every year no question asked for one its right in the central part of ohio and it would mean alot more for the kids to play where the buckeyes play they need to change it back like it used to be driving all the way to Canton sucks

Them Marion boys would put a good ole whoopin on that Ironton team and the Liberty team too. My heck you could put them two teams together and Marion would still beat em.

Name your price buddy. I’ll bet as much as you want, if you have any to bet.

Ill bet you a $1,000 or more right now that they score, put that money where your mouth is if you’re so confident.
