Don’t suck and I think you’ll be fine. Can’t go 1-9 and also not be liked and expect a re-hire.
And don’t act like Carter got ran off, either. He was not going to get fired or have any repercussions for that whole situation last year. He used that situation to get a better job.

Was there not an uproar for Carter at a board meeting last year about not bringing him back lol? Maybe I am wrong. I don't know much about this guy, maybe the team underachieved, not sure on the situation but Early in the year Gallia people said this was a rebuild but certain people " not liking" a coach shouldn't get him canned lol.

Carter 100% got ran off, the board told him they weren’t going to listen to all the cries of parents wanting him gone. It had gone on for too long and he simply told them it wasn’t worth fighting with it anymore. He had no plans to leave until parents, a certain cop one at that started crying around wayyy too much and trying to dig up crap. That’s directly from a close relative so, your belief on the why’s are incorrect.

There’s a night and day difference between Boca Raton, FL and Gallipolis.

If he wants to come back to Ohio to coach, he’s probably more interested in the openings at Centerville, Sycamore (Cincinnati suburbs), Hilliard Darby, and Thomas Worthington this go around. Those schools are way closer to Boca High in size and demographics than GA is.

Three words if they want to win:

Bring, Jack, back.

This coach wasn't ran out of town. Basically walked in quit his teaching position and resigned and left.

He was set up to fail from the beginning. Why would you hire a guy to run a program that had never even been a coordinator only a position coach.

Seems to me like he was hired kind of out of spite.

People say Carter rebuilt the program wasn't coach Penrod like 33-17. District coach of the year? Did Carter build that much or finish what he was handed.

Didn't win a league championship didn't beat ironton.

And you can say he was ran out of town but I will say at worst was asked to leave before he was ready to leave. He had no intentions of being here long term.

Next coach will do fine if hired for the right reason

Carter left because if he’d stayed and went 1-9 like was inevitable with this team, his resume would’ve been heavily damaged. It was a good move if he wanted to be at a bigger program anyway. He had the greenlight and would have stayed if he wanted to. I say good for him.

Yes, I say good for him. It’s great when a coach comes in and promises to be there long term and then jumps ship as soon as they see a bad class or two coming. Real stand up guys they are. Jack would never do that.
