Ironton loses week 12 without Terry. So you’re right, LC wouldn’t have had a chance to blow them out.
And Wheelersburg doesn’t score a point against Ironton this year without their QB. Harvest Prep isn’t in their position without all of their kids from around Columbus. Hypotheticals after the fact are made by dumb people who refuse to honestly acknowledge the success of others. Southern Ohio has so many weak minded people suffering from the absurd belief that their opinions matter. The bottom line is a bunch of high school kids who have been working together for 4 years or more just won a state title. You could see based on their emotions afterward they saw themselves as family even if a bunch of goobers on the internet think there is an asterisk because the kids weren’t in the same kindergarten class.
Wheelersburg fans are as pitiful as their football program.

Grown males . Notice I didn't say men. Sitting in mommy's basement whining about a superior program like Ironton using all tools available to win. Transfers are part of high school football like it or not. These males would be much better served to take their complaints to the head coach. Ad. School board and superintendent to demand that they get a coach like Pendleton and build their program so it's more desirable for kids to transfer there. Congratulations Fighting Tigers. What a season. Build it and they will come.

What’s crazy is Pendleton was Ironton’s administration’s THIRD choice for the head coaching job after Salmons from Cabell Midland and Grizzle from Greenup. Very impressive what he’s been able to accomplish.

Yes, very impressive indeed. It's not really so crazy he wasn't first choice since he didn't have HC experience. I mean Lutz wasn't 1st choice either.

Probably should really look at the stats. 75 yards rushing and 2 tds, 10 receptions for 148 and a TD. Shrek had 14 completions total. Ironton had 319 yards of total offense and 4tds. Terry had 225 yards and 3 TDS of that, it’s laughable that anyone thinks this team even comes close to this without him. It’s awesome loved watching him play and he carried and willed that team to a title. I’m simply calling a spade a spade there’s no one on Ironton’s team that is making up that kind of production. Not hating at all just realistic special player that saved his best for the big staged. Not sure how you would’ve had more athleticism facts are facts rest of irontons team had less than 100 yards. Williams averaged only 4.1 a carry and Shrek averaged 2.7 on 16 carries. 23 receiving yards total from the rest of the guys not named Terry. Some don’t like to hear it or except it because you want to think you were far superior when reality is 1 player was. Can’t wait to see what he does at Missouri thought it was very telling their coach saying they’ve never had that type of playmaker come in because Burden there right now is a 1st round pick in 2025 draft.
Dumbest comment I’ve heard in a while.  You don’t think the team would have a different game plan without Terry? The defense gave up 17 points! 17!

None that would’ve resulted in the output that he put and if you believe that I’ve got some magic beans to sell you. If you can’t see what the other guys did with the ball and see the difference that’s on you. Defense gave up 17 points great job, no Terry no title.

Congratulations to Ironton! I listened to it on the radio while I was working. It sounded like it was a battle for the ages. Ironton takes a 14-0 lead, Liberty Center gets some momentum and goes into the half only down by 5.

I still can’t figure out how Terry wasn’t even considered for Mr. Football! I hope he gets his shot at Missouri.

Again congratulations to the Tigers. It’s nice to see an area team bring home the crown. This part of the state gets no love from the northern half.

Irontons D held LC leading Rusher (1798 season) to 37 yards on 20 carries.

IHS coaches could have game planned until the end of time, but there’s no making up for what Terry contributes.

There’s simply no game plan that’s going to make up for the loss of a talent like Terry. He’s a special player.

Not sure why this is so hard for you to understand. Either A) you never played football or any other competitive sport resulting in you not getting this, and/or B) you are truly the product of a 2.5 star education lacking the ability to think.

Going out on a limb here, but I assume you were neither an athlete or scholar. Definitely worthy of the username that you have chosen.

Terry is the best football to come out of our area in the last 20 years , maybe longer. Kudos to Pendleton and his staff for developing him into the monster he is. Also for molding these young Tigers into monsters. We’ll be in the weight room soon getting ready to run it back. See you week 1.
