Western has a quality win vs Waverly and played with Burg forced Valley to OT but gave up 60 to Huntington last weekend.

Eastern has one loss to Webster and a close game vs West but has pretty well dominated most of their schedule.

Any thoughts??

Western also has a quality win against Peebles. But giving up 60 to Huntington and almost losing that game is bad. Especially when Eastern beat them by 35.

Eastern should take care of this one.

I think Western will keep it close for most of the game but the Eagles pull away in the 4th. I’ll take the Eagles 58-45. These two teams will be getting after it tonight on defense but I think the lack of depth on Westerns bench will really show in this game.

Throw the records out the window for this one. Eastern and Western is a good Pike County rivalry.

Heck of a game tonight. Eagles got in foul trouble late in the game. Tough timeout call by Western at the end of the game. Eastern wins 64-62. Great teamwork on both sides.

Good game, pretty sloppy with the turnovers, but the hustle and fight is something you love to see in a rivalry game

Tough timeout is right. But, they still got a decent look out of it, but that was huge.

Bench was very good for Eastern and ultimately made the difference. I believe it was a 17-6 advantage in bench scoring.

Big win for the Eagles but turnovers and rebounds almost cost them a win tonight. Way too many second chances for Western. Hopefully we can get those issues fixed and maybe do a few box out drills in practice this week. Bench played well for Eastern especially Cade. Hope to see Cade get more minutes as the season goes. Coach Williams and staff do a very nice job by getting everything out of the team they have and have a couple nice players especially Cam Janes.

This Eastern Pike team seems to be becoming the real deal. They’ve got some scrappy players, athletes and skill players. Coach Leist is getting the most out of them. They have some serious quality wins.
