BUT I'M FRANKLY EXCITED ABOUT THE UPCOMING YEAR FOR IRONTON. oops, fat fingers. i'm so curious how they mange to try to fill their schedule, being independant. but it should be very exciting.

Re: Ironton Scheduling problems?
Welcoming IHS back to the Burg again in 2025. Was a joke since IHS had to play at Burg in ‘24 as well.
Re: Ironton Scheduling problems?
Ok..got it!
Re: Ironton Scheduling problems?
Looks like the hardest part of the schedule has been filled. I’d be more worried about after week 5.nctabulator wrote: Fri Jan 03, 2025 6:53 amIRONTONOVC wrote: Fri Jan 03, 2025 5:38 amWho is the week one opponent?nctabulator wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2025 8:41 pm Currently Ironton only has weeks 1, 2 and 4 open. The contract for week 1 should be signed any day now.
Who all has been picked up for their schedule?
1
2
3 (H) Akron Manchester
4
5 (H) Jackson
6 @ Wheelersburg
7 @ Cabell Midland (WV)
8 (H) Fairland
9 @ Gallia Academy
10 (H) Portsmouth
I'm going to wait until the Week 1 contract has been signed. I've seen all to often where there's a planned game, and then a change happens.
Contemplating all life choices and loyalties…

Re: Ironton Scheduling problems?
what have i missed, is the ironton/burg series in peril. or is it just the game is getting moved to later in the season. i'd hate to see this series in jeopardy.

With the addition of Northwest back to SOC II, it created a week for a non conference game in the latter half of the season. For Burg, it is week 6. It is difficult to find a week 6 opponent because most are in league action. So moving the Ironton game to week 6 solved that issue . Easier to find a week one opponent…. Spot-on. This move makes the most sense for both Burg and Ironton now that Ironton is independent.*Oldtimer55 wrote: Mon Jan 06, 2025 7:31 pmWith the addition of Northwest back to SOC II, it created a week for a non conference game in the latter half of the season. For some context, they lost 40-18 to D6 eastern Meigs last season.
They are classified as d5 in ohio

Shelby Valley isn't a good football team. They would finish 4th in the TVC Hocking. Ironton will name the score
