Not many games and the ones that were played were most ugly. Hopefully this week can get some quality back into the games with schools being back in and practices being normal again.

Thanks for the update

Normal years, they aren’t a top 10 team, but this isn’t a normal year in the SE. They’ll win 18-20 games in the regular season.

Wins: @Washington (56-51), Zane Trace (48-36), @Circleville (72-52), Southeastern (69-36)

Losses: @Miami Trace (69-53), @Westfall (61-58)

#15 North Adams @ #5 SW Tuesday.

The Jeeps travel to Indiana on Saturday for the battle of the Jeeps vs North East Dubois. According to max preps they are 6-2 right now, 160th in Indiana overall and 16th in their division.

5 wins vs teams with losing records, one 3 pt victory over a 4-4 team. Both losses are to teams with winning records. Biggest man on the roster is a 6’3 Senior. This one should be fun barring bad weather.

No problem. The Westfall loss was bad, 10-26 on layups, but they’ve played pretty well besides that. I’d be surprised if they aren’t 16-2 when Jackson stops by on the 28th.

... heading for The Plains tonight to see Meigs @ Athens ... with the Warren win last night over Marietta they will be moving up the rankings come this weekend, Warren will be taking on co- #1 Minford on Saturday at SSU ... this one will determine how high up Warren moves as well as if Minford deserves the #1 all to itself ... Meigs struggled in beating a good Marietta team by 1 pt , 46-45 at Meigs a couple of weeks ago ... want to see Meigs again before they take on Warren NEXT week at Warren ... wow, some great games coming up with Warren taking on both #1's and beating so far the #4 ... all within a weeks' time ... only a JV/Varsity game tonight so I should have the napkin stats/game rundown before the night is over ... Valley @ West tomorrow night !!!

... West Portsmouth is still on the radar for this evening, might be some snow moving in during the games tonight but we'll live with it ... the Senators vs the Valley Indians ... two teams with - correct me if I'm wrong - only 2 seniors (one on each team) in the starting /top 7 in the lineups - for Valley Chase Davis and for West 6-0 Mason Parker ... aside from that - both teams I have on my radar as teams that will be impact teams in the 2025-26 season ... I've watched Valley on streaming services 3-4 times, the same for West - but I did get eyes on Will Kegley's 35 pt performance at the Spartan Classic vs Nelsonville York ... looking forward to making my 1st trip to the Westside in 50+ years !!! never been in this building ! the last time pfloyd was at Portsmouth West was during the Kelly Shy era of hoops for the Senators when New Boston had Ed Thompson, Junior Willams, Mike Dunham, Jim Conley, Ross Warren, Greg Holsinger, Tim Emshwiller, etc. - back in the day it was ... should be fun, leaving around 3p, 2+ hour drive from here in the Hocking Hills ... I only see 3 games on the menu for tonight : Portsmouth West vs Valley, Peebles @ Fayetteville and Logan @ Canal Winchester ... probably won't have the recap with napkin stats up until in the morning as it will be tomorrow when pfloyd gets back to the Hocking Hills LOL ...

pfloyd > It should be a good game, Portsmouth West is a team that will give fits to every team they play with 1-3-1 defense they run, and they run it better than anyone. They're capable of beating anyone on any given night. Enjoy the ride to the West Side...

JeepNation26 ... when I watched them beat NY by 20 (60-40), the Senator Defense turned NY over 21 times in the game, they converted 7 of those into points (14pts) ... Kegley had 5 transition buckets on his own ball ... they have really good length in Kegley/ Wolfenbarker/Miller that SE District size around 6-3 to 6-4 ....this group has the length to trap/double team on the perimeter effectively ... Valley has that same length in Copen 6-2 / Jaxsyn Bender 6-2/ Logan 6-3 ... we'll see ...

Me and my pardner sat directly underneath the air duct in the far corner of the visitors side last year. That mf had to be blowing on full speed straight from the North Pole.
