Warren Coaching Job

Post by LeftHandedCoach »

With Jimmy Peyton parting ways with Warren to go to Logan where does Warren look for their next head coach?

Also would like to say, best of luck to JP with his new position.

Will be interested to see what kind of candidate pool they have. Does Schob have a chance I wonder?

Jason Schob if they look local. Was starting to have success at Marietta, he’s from the area, and would likely be in it to stay. That’s the most important factor in my opinion, is the willingness to stay long term. Hate to see Jimmy go, but if it’s an opportunity for the family, can’t knock a guy for that at all.

Yeah, that was just spitballing. I don’t know what his coaching situation is or if he has something lined up at FF, but he’s still my ideal local candidate. He may have zero interest in the job. They should still do a full search and do their due diligence, but they should at the very least reach out and gauge his interest.

It’ll be interesting to see what direction they go. With the assistant athletic director position, possibly being cut we could see Warren hire someone locally. Or most certainly a teacher.

I think you’re on the right track Beg.

I personally believe the program needs stability to grow, enough of the musical chairs. We have people in the area with Warren ties that would be great options that are willing to stay for more than 3 years. That’s not a knock on the guys that were here before.
This it’s just reality, it’s hard for the kids to continue to develop and grow with all them all experiencing a coaching change.
At the end of the day, Warren has to be more than a destination to this person.

Is Jimmy Bell a possibility? He’s reportedly applying for every opening in the area so it’s pretty certain that he’ll apply at Warren. Does he get a serious look?

Probably won't hear anything until after the job opening is closed unless we have a couple local candidates.

Carr and Pepper might have some decisions to make depending on who they hire .. hopefully they find someone who will feed Carr the ball like he deserves!!
