sometimes burg, you gotta do what you gotta do. come to think of it we were scheduled to play burg game 1 wasn't we.ytb.
No, the contract ran out and was renegotiated to play the game week 6. As with any contract, you have to follow the terms agreed upon by both teams and that is why it is week 6 in 2025 @ Burg. If your AD didn’t like it then he didn’t have to accept the new contract. Don’t complain until you know the facts.
And you can bet Burg was hoping Ironton’s AD wouldn’t accept it so they wouldn’t have to take that aszwhipping again.
“Burg was hoping…”

If Burg didn’t want to play IHS, they would have just cut ties. The AD from Burg made the decision to continue playing IHS.

Bottom line is it will take work on a yearly basis for Ironton to fill out their schedule. This is a good thing, not a bad one. Outside of the MAC, it’s almost impossible for a small school to put together the kind of schedule that will allow you to compete for championships. That Ironton is willing to try is awesome.
My point is that costs matter, so let’s try this again…

Some schools are fortunate to make enough from football to support their entire athletic department, but the vast majority are not. Even Moeller loses money on their football program! So managing costs becomes extremely important.

As for Springboro, I mention them to show that even the richest school districts have to consider costs. Could have just as well used the West Chester schools as an example.

I would like to see the Lancaster game played. Not far from here. Bloom Carroll would be nice too. Even the DeSales game would be good. Playing those three would bring people from this area to see those games.

There is nothing that says anyone had to accept a contract. I just think you like to be a keyboard warrior. We will see you week 6 at the Ed.
