Williams made AAA Honorable mention All-State and lead the state in sacks in just 8 games? He made a perfect decision leaving a toxic environment.EasternDspy wrote: Sun Jan 19, 2025 8:50 pmWhat they going to do go to one of the Parkersburg schools and get lost in the shuffle like Williams ?Feedme#2WarrenFB wrote: Sun Jan 19, 2025 8:25 pm Carr and Pepper might have some decisions to make depending on who they hire .. hopefully they find someone who will feed Carr the ball like he deserves!!

This feels like a good landing spot for Mike Eddy. A possible Warren/Logan HC swap!

Might want to talk to the kid from Belpre who transferred to Marietta about moving schools. That didn’t work out so well for him playing 5 games. There isn’t a transfer portal in high school. I’m sure your AD isn’t worried about 2 kids leaving the program because of who he hires. From what I’ve heard, Peyton had a swinging door out there with coaches and players leaving so it won’t be anything new.Feedme#2WarrenFB wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 8:16 am I’m pretty sure Pepper and Carr can go anywhere and if they decide to go they our a package deal and will make the move this school year … Warren better get this coaching hire right all I’m saying!!

If a player transfers and doesn't physically move into the school district, they are only eligible to play the first 5 games that season. OHSAA is animate on their rules.

Re: Warren Coaching Job
They’ll get a good applicant pool once again if I had to guess. Steve Harold has yet to hire a “bad coach.” People have their complaints with every coach, that’s how it goes. It’s impossible to please everyone. But I will say this: Compare the last three coaches we’ve had to the two that preceded them, and you’ll see what “bad” actually is. No reason to think he won’t find another solid coaching option.
Re: Warren Coaching Job
If a player transfers they are eligible to play the first half of a season in all sports for 12 months from the day of transfer. There are exceptions but very difficult to have one of them in your favor.

Re: Warren Coaching Job
Now that they are suppose to be eliminating the assistant AD position, choice of a new coach will be more limited. The new choice will have to be a retired coach, current school employee, employee at another school or someone who can fill any retirements.
Re: Warren Coaching Job
Didn’t know if this was a sure thing or not. Heard several conflicting stories on the assistant AD position. If it goes, yes, that makes it harder. I see better than I hear, though, so we’ll see how it plays out.rockcoach wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 11:53 am Now that they are suppose to be eliminating the assistant AD position, choice of a new coach will be more limited. I have been told by a good source that this is a rumor, and that it is still on the table for the right candidate. In other words, Warren should again be able to get a solid candidate pool for this job.Feedme#2WarrenFB wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 12:03 pmBeing cut April or May !
