Sad to hear of the passing of long-time Belfry coach Phillip Haywood. Coach was in a car accident a few days ago. He was the state’s winningest football coach with a 491-62 record in 50 seasons. He won eight state titles and had six runner-up finishes.
This man was the GOLD STANDARD in Kentucky High School Football.
Rest in Peace Coach.
