The great thing with Athens girls hoops is that the AD who has a wealth of award winning experience has given coach K a contract for as long as he wants to return. He will also to continue to hire his long term assistants. The program is in GREAT hands as long as the AD can keep other schools from hiring coach K.

No one would hire someone who will likely go undefeated in the TVC Ohio this season and have good wins against tough non-conference opponents??? I'm sorry, but that's laughable.

This program is right on schedule and is only having a couple of bumps in the road because they are so young. The buy in is there and the Bulldogs are loaded for years to come with girls playing his style of basketball.

Barney Rubble- You're right in that nothing can be judged until the season is over, so we'll just have to wait and see.

I see the continuing adjustments to the offense and pressure defense as the season has gone along. They have things dialed in to repeat as TVC champs and make it three sectional championships in a row. I also think they are due to break out for another big scoring game soon.

If this is what a Golden Age looks like, then this is good news for about half of the programs in SE Ohio. A couple of league titles and a few playoff wins is awesome for those girls involved, but those feats get replicated in each league/conference every few years.

You’re really proud of your grandson for scoring 100+ points against Meigs, but if that’s what you’re talking about by saying keep the faith then no thank you. You directed that smartassed comment to Madness but I’m sure they’ll agree with me. Many of the teams Meigs played this year could score 100+ but your boy is the only one that did. He11 Meigs coulda scored 100 against Hannah the other night but didn’t. Only you thinks that scoring 100 makes a coach look good.
