No. He played the 11 he was allowed to play and has sat since game 12.

It's a shame someone didn't figure that out earlier. Big loss for West.

He was eligible for the first 11 games of the season, no matter when it was figured out.

I'm saying someone at West should have got it early in the year to get him eligible all year for the full 22 games.

@Hoopie74 He (@danicalifornia) is trying to explain to you how the OHSAA transfer rule works. If the transfer doesn't satisfy 1 of the 13 exceptions, then he must sit out the last ½ of the season and tournament.

OHSAA Bylaw 4-7-2
Unless they meet one of the exceptions. (ie Parents’ Bona Fide Move into a New Public School District; + 12 other exceptions)
"If the answer is NO, the student does not meet the requirements of an exception, the student may commence participation and is eligible, insofar as transfer is concerned, for all contests until the second 50% of the maximum allowable varsity regular season contests begin. At that point, the student shall become ineligible for all OHSAA tournaments and all contests at all levels AFTER the first 50% of the maximum allowable varsity regular season contests have been competed in those sports in which the student participated during the 12 months immediately preceding this transfer. The student simply participates until the ineligibility commences as prescribed within the transfer bylaw."

Get what early?? Didn't qualify under any of the rules so any sports he played in at NW he is now subject to sitting out the 2nd half of the year in those sports at West now.

Hahaha! you all are freaking over nothing. I know the rules. I've been around basketball since the late 60s. I'm not from West. I'm just saying it's a shame he can't play. Good player.

Miami Trace 44
Waverly 42

Very physical tournament atmosphere and the Tigers gave the undefeated Panthers all they wanted and some.

Without knowing pfloyd’s thought process, I’m guessing Warren jumps to #1 after wins over Marietta, Meigs and Minford over the past couple of weeks

Miami Trace is still unbeaten, but had a far from dominant weekend over teams a combined 12-15 record, even if both are better than their record states at this point.

Hahaha! I’m sure you do since you’re old and that means you know all of the newer rules about transfers and you clearly were just playing dumb in all of those posts. Bunch of morons that haven’t been watching basketball since the 60’s!
