The Jeeps played really good tonight, but Oak Hill wasn't a great test for the Jeeps. It will be nice to watch them when they go play Wheelersburg in January.

Final score of the Burg Portsmouth game was Portsmouth 31-28 Burg. The game went into overtime, and Hollar had 17 points for the Pirates. Burg played really well, but in the end they just couldn't manage the win.

Although Eastern wasn't a great team the Jeeps played really good. For the 7th grade Bobst had 20 points. For the 8th grade Kreischer had 20, Whisman 9, Large and Allard 8, and Mershon 4. Great job on the Jeeps end tonight!

Thanks for all the updates fellas. Looks like South Webster going to be solid for the foreseeable future based on the results of their junior high teams. They got a nice mix of scoring on both teams, and they got a skilled big on the way in Large for the next 4 years.

Also, you still gotta go with Portsmouth 8th as the top dog in Scioto County after beating Burg and SW. Judging by the close scores though, Burg and SW have closed the gap considerably. There's probably not a whole lot of difference talent-wise between Portsmouth, Burg, SW, West and Minford at 8th grade level. On any given night, I could see any of those teams beating the other. Wish there was a way Portsmouth could play in the Webster tourney at the end of the season as that would make for some great matchups!*

Saturday the tournament begins finished with the night cap at Fairland
Off Sunday
Back for more on Monday with 8th grade
Eastern Brown varsity at Webster on the 11th
12th and 13th the tournament continues
Valentine’s Day valley varsity at Webster
The 15th it’s Waverly at Webster varsity and championship Saturday for the junior high.
