4.55 Forty? Still fast.Probably getting bigger has something to do with it or he didn’t get off the line well.Perfect size for Lb/Te.
Idk but gained around 7lbs and went from 4.38 to 4.55? Hmm.

So 4.38 was bs? Doubt it.
4.381 was Laser timed at the University of Kentucky Camp which was after the Louisville camp, and he ran a 4.4 at Morehead. I’m not sure the Louisville or Morehead camps were Laser timed.

He doesnt look like a 4.3 kid on film. Matter fact not a 4.5 kid either. I just saw earlier he allegedly was a 4.38 at morehead but a 4.55 at Louisville and thought there was a significant difference. What caused a 4.3 kid to run a 4.5 further away from home?
Few days ago they were saying Shaun Terry esque.
I am not convinced a raceland kid makes much difference. No offense to anyone intended just from a football perspspective the hype in earlier posts on this thread have created some doubt. Raceland doesnt have any 4.4 and faster kids lol.
I don’t care if the young runs a 4.6
He is a athlete and looks good on film
I’m glad he is a Tiger and can provide depth on a great team.
I like to see him at LB for Ironton and provide depth at RB.
I don’t care if he comes from Raceland or from Timbuktu I welcome any player that wants to play for Ironton rather if he is a starter or a bench player.
My question is when has Ironton fans become so judgemental as to who decides to come to Ironton regardless off speed.

First thing you’ve said that was accurate! Raceland doesn’t have a 4.3 kid, but Ironton now does!

Would second that opinion. Don’t see how a kid running sub 4.4 at a small school like Raceland would be able to be under the radar. If so, he’d have like 15+ touches/game and whole tri-state area would already know all bout him, just like Terry.
Kid may end up being a solid player for Ironton, but all this gas probably just putting unrealistic expectations on him.*

The young man played in 6 games as a Sophomore and was injured. I’m sure he’ll get a lot more looks at Ironton the next 2 years. Give the young man a chance, if the University of Kentucky Laser was off, then 4.381 wasn’t legit lol.
….. par for the course… another local kid comes to Ironton from Another school…..so Ironton fans can brag how great they are to the tri-state….. team is a fraud already…lol… i saw a elementary year book of the seniors who just won it…only four kids in their that looked like they actually played…,,lol

I don't care how fast he is. He would have a very long way to go before replacing the startert that is returning or his backup for that matter.

To his credit, this young man already lived in Ironton. Why he attended Raceland prior I do not know, could have been a family or custody issue. It's not like this kid has to 'move' into Ironton. He's already there. He just decided to enroll in the district he actually lives in.
And if this young man has college football aspirations it seems like a no brainer decision. Ironton just won a state title and is getting kids football scholarships at unheard of levels for this area. Seems like an easy decision for the kid to enroll at that type of school especially when he already resides in the district.

The only kid Ironton has approaching that speed was already a Tiger last season. Edwards. The raceland kid isnt a 4.3 kid. Stop it.

You’re absolutely right, it was a 4.381 Laser timed at the University of Kentucky.
Arguing about transfers is a moot point; it's a regular occurrence at most all schools in all areas of the nation now. Ironton has always got kids to transfer or move in, and why wouldn't they? They win. (period) End of Story. Raceland has transfers from the whole tristate in all sports. Ashland gets kids from Boyd Co. every year now for basketball. Symmes Valley has had kids transfer in from RH, Ironton Fairland and Peake since the 90's. RH this year has a kid who started at FB/LB who came from Cabell Midland and is now going to Ashland and a WR who came from Ironton, played the season for RH and is now back at Ironton. Chesapeake kids go to Fairland, Fairland kids go to Peake; kids from Huntington go to both. Hell 2 years ago, St. Joe had a handful of kids come in for one season of basketball from Rose Hill, Coal Grove (by way of South point) and elsewhere.
Kids are gonna go where they want now a days. they will transfer to be with friends, to be with girl/boy friends, to be on winning teams, to play for state titles and they will go because their parents feel they are better off at a certain school or part of a certain program - It's their prerogative! there are rules for transferring, but the only changes we will see in regards to rules and regulations will be to make it easier to transfer. Some states are now passing legislation to allow a one-time transfer to any school in their state with zero rules/ramification.
Simply put, It's time to let go of the whole transfer argument!! Put it to bed.... Your school and/or your fan base should either get with the times or get left behind.

Southern Ohio struggles with change and that unfortunate fact results in struggling in a lot of things. Good post btw. 100% facts.

Well check their senior yearbook. You’ll find them under the heading “2024 State Champs”
