That is plane ass stupid comment. You have no idea how these kids work out in the off season along with a much better coaching staff.

Anyone else going to watch the Fall schedule release show??? It should be all FALL sports (football, volleyball, soccer, and cross country) and not just football. Equal rights and exposure for all student athletes.

What you do for one, then you should do for ALL.

You aren’t going to hurt anyone feelings here. The only people who will have their feelings hurt are the parents of the kids who have put in all the work for years to only be replaced by the kid they bring in to take their position from them. I always find it funny they talk about it is about the kids putting in the work and then get a recruit for that position.

Definitely!! It is going to be a great show on Thursday. It is always nice to be able to go back and watch it later as well.

I doubt that, it’s called depth. Ironton rotated so many players last year that everyone played. They’ve all bought into the system.

You can only play 11 kids on each side. The rest sit hoping for an opportunity. I watched a couple of games and they did rotate some in. With their schedule and without the Terry kid, they won’t have the running clocks. This does come with the exception of the little sister of Pikeville in week 1 in Shelby Valley who was 4-6 last year and maybe GA. I would say Ironton goes up to D IV this year with competitive balance numbers. We won’t know that until around May.

Happens when you get transfers like a private school… Harvest Prep has a school enrollment of Green but their CB numbers put them in D V in football. Only time will tell where everyone will fall. Burg will definitely still be in D V.

They have to be enrolled in the school before they can practice with a team. If they practice one day before enrolling then they would be ineligible and may have to forfeit games they played in the previous season. All of that information goes into the state database with enrollment details shared with OHSAA.

Ironton will stay D5, the CB number will be about the same or a little lower. How’s Burg doing, are they getting or LOSING anyone? :) :)

Because we lost a couple that added to the number, kind of evens out.

You lost a couple of transfers who went back to their home school… remember a resident moving out doesn’t count on your CB numbers.

Nobody has left Ironton!!

The young man from Racelands Dad is from Ironton and lives in Ironton, what’s the CB # for that? He’s the only one that’s actually transferred and enrolled so far. We had a couple that graduates that counted against us.

It would depend on who has custody until they are 18. Logic would say that the person living in Kentucky probably is the custodial parent or they would have had to been paying out of state tuition to attend. Every school needs custodial paperwork so that is how it is put into the system and how/if it counts in the CB numbers.
