I don’t have a dog in this fight, but I don’t understand how you can have the same officials that officiate your regular season games at home, also officiate your tournament games. I am not in favor of that.
MT clearly proving that they are the better team in this game… but holy moly the calls are not helping Chillicothe.

I’m watching Hudl replays of previous MT games if you want to also watch with me. I know officials. Like I said, I don’t have a single dog in this fight, MT has played an excellent game… deserve the win.
But come on..:

Maybe watching on Hudl isn't the best idea to be making claims. I have also watched Trace several times this year and don't recall seeing this crew, especially not multiple times.

Why couldn’t you have the same refs multiple times? It isn’t like there is a ton of tournament officials to where someone can say, “nope, you officiated a singular regular season game against Jackson, so you can’t do this tournament game”

I agree. Refs do their best. Adjust your game to their calls. I think there was like 1 foul called in the first half of Peebles at Southeastern They let em play in tourney.

We all know tournament games are allowed to be played much more physical. That’s just flat out part of the game. It’s a tribute to the officials. OHSAA brings in the best guys to handle these type of games. If you haven’t figured out by now that tourney games are going to be physical, then you aren’t watching enough high school basketball and you’re surely not prepared to make an appearance in Athens.

Great job MT. I thought this game would be closer. The fact that they conquered a conference opponent by almost 20 in a win or go home says they are ready for tourney trail.
Best of luck to those dogs!

100%. I just wish all regular season games were called as the tournament will be called, however, when you see the ones down at the Convo, you know what you’re going to get.

I know what you mean, but a couple of those don’t really seem that far off from being pretty good again.

Chillicothe likely wins 15-17 games next year.

Cambridge just won 16 games and for some reason went after one of their losses and got drilled tonight. But, I’d think that after winning 16 games in 3 seasons, that 16 wins this season would have them on the uptick.

Cambridge had a fairly weak schedule. Will probably take a step back next season. Can’t speak for Chilly , but out of Division 1 may give them a punchers chance next season !

Definitely knew you’d know much more on their schedule than I would! But, sometimes you’ve got to lower that schedule to help revive things.

Chilli being in D3 will give them a chance in a lot of years, but I’m guessing Marietta and Miami Trace will still be better. There’s a pretty good chance that Jackson moves to D3 as well, none of those things are very good for Chilli…and I know Warren loses a lot, but if they have Maddox, that’s a big advantage for the Warriors.

Agree on all accounts. Just amazing some incredible programs from the past just aren’t the same. I know it’s the sign of the times but it is was some much fun watching great basketball in the East/SE.

I know what you’re saying, but why should players need to adjust to the style or whims of the referees? It really shouldn’t matter if its the season opener or tournament time. Just flat out call the game as best you can according to the rules of the game.
** Having said that, yes players must try to adjust. They just shouldn’t have to.
