It always comes down to the cutoff for the division by OHSAA. We are always close to the top of the division numbers wise. I assure you we will be ready for battle and more than compete with the team down the river. The Terry kid hurt a lot of teams last year but he is gone.

Week 6 will be a battle at the ED!! See you there
Ironton maybe even better next year.
More balanced with the run and pass game.
Yes Terry was great
But with Edwards Williams and Carmen along with a few other underclassmen getting a great deal of playing time Ironton won’t miss a beat.
And the score against Burg will be devastating once again.

You may want to read OHSAA sports regulation 9.1 and 9.2 before talking about offseason requirements and dedication to workouts. There can be no required attendance, no skill training/coaching by coaches and there can’t even be any sports related equipment at these workouts like a football. The penalty is one calendar year in Bylaw 11 in the no contact period.

I assure you that the Burg will be ready to battle at the Ed week 6!! Hoist the Jolly Roger and be ready to fire the cannons!!

We shall see if this is allowed for HS athletes or not. It would be bad to get players ruled ineligible for the start of next season.

You can never replace Terry no matter how much you want to tell yourself otherwise. You very well could be 1-6 going into Fairland week then what are you going to say. :o

Might be good you picked up Pikeville’s little brother on week 1

I would say if we can win 1 or 2 of these last three we will make the playoffs with the ability to defend the 2024 state championship.

Yeah, it is kind of like the participation trophy mentality when they made it so easy to get in the playoffs when they expanded to 16 teams per region. You definitely have a chance to defend starting week 1.

BTW… The Canisius team you are playing from NY brought in $22 million in academic scholarships for their seniors last year. How much did your last senior class bring in for their academics??

Don’t forget an athlete involved in another sport season such as basketball or wrestling can’t participate as well as long as that team is still active. Could be another rule violation… :o

Can Ironton and Wheelersburg fans create their own site to ball smash each other? It’s really pathetic to be honest.

Have mostly been taking a break from the site. Hop on to see the latest on occasion but not a lot of interest in commenting.

A co-worker and friend of mine was on AA flight 5342. He was asked to go out to Kansas at the last second to help with the orientation of a new plant manager. Was flying home to DC when the collision occurred.

Young man was 33 and had just gotten a nice promotion. Despite his youth, he was highly respected and well liked. Had a bright future ahead of him. Instead, he leaves behind a young wife.

Anyway, I’m sure I’ll be back to form come football season but during my travels right now, high school football hasn’t been on my mind. And arguing football even less so.

Easy to prove if they are… just played Rock Hill a week or so ago and Coal Grove this past week. If they are on the team then they can’t participate. Luckily, baseball practice doesn’t start until Monday and track starts soon.
