There’s only one person on this platform who is disrespectful and that’s my archenemy Hookshot….lol

J/K Hook you’re an awesome person and you’re around 84.7% correct most of the time.

Warren by 15… team is full of seniors who understand each other and the game so well. Overall strength and experience is super important and not many teams can match that of Warren locally.

MT ducked Minford and has 1 quality win. If anyone says Jackson is a quality win after they got beat by Burg, you’re nuts. Baseball season starts soon for the Panthers.

I’d say a team that is 22 games unbeaten understand the game pretty well too, I got the panthers by 6

Warren is battle tested and have beaten the 3 best teams in the area.. Stadelman will be too much for the Panthers.

Warren 68-56

I remember roughly 10 years ago when the Warriors played Unioto who was 26-0.
From that experience I will say this MT team isn’t undefeated bc they’re above average.
They are undefeated bc they are an ELITE basketball team.
They have several different ways to be effective. It feels the same, Warren hardly ever gets to play the underdog role but they typically play well in these spots.
I fully expect a great game tonight but at the end of the day I think Warren has more holes than MT they are so dependent on Julian to be great to be successful.

With that being said I think Julian will be Great and everyone else does just enough for the Warriors to advance in an all time classic.

Also Warren loves that road to Logan we’ve done it many times before and always expect to leave with a victory.

63-60 WHS

BIG BAD BLUE

Give me Miami Trace 56-52. The Panthers five starters can all go for double figures on any given night, and all have before. They don't have "One Guy" That you have to key on. If you don't guard any of their starters, they are liable to drop 15 points on you. What makes this MT team so good is that Adam draws so much attention, and possibly his best attribute is his court vision. For a big man, he sees the floor incredibly well and always seems to find the open man. He will make you pay if you collapse your defense on him. If the Panthers are hitting shots and can stay out of foul trouble, look out. They will go into this game as a big underdog and will be highly motivated. Excited for this one!

Buckeye Country 105.5 FM radio usually has coverage of the Fayette County schools during tournament time as well. You can find the stream online or on the iHeart app.

22-0 ... #1 seed in the post season seedings by OHSAA & MaxPreps ... Miami Trace would be the favored team tonight ... that's what the MaxPreps/OHSAA RPI ranking system tells us anyway ... Coach Ackley for Trace is outstanding, building a solid program at Miami Trace ... excellent size with the man in the middle 6-7 lineman build/strength Adam Guthrie ... 6-4 on each wing with length & varsity experience (seniors) Skye Salyers & Trey Robinette ... they board, they defend on D with their length , when MT traps they block passing lane vision and get hands on everything BOTH can shoot the 3 ball as attested to the 5 threes in the opening quarter vs Chillicothe in their post game appearance last weekend ... freshman PG Gage Bowers is solid, 6-1 size out front ... 6-3 Julan Baker , strong in the paint, football player build with a solid bench in Armstrong/Whitaker/Napier ... with the make up of the MT team - they are able to play vs opponents with all of the variables - size in the middle MT answers with 6-7, 6-4, 6-4 ...teams that are smaller, like to get to the rim - Mr. Guthrie at 6-7 with bulk turns away drives to the paint, forces opponents to change shots around the rim ... he's a difference makers ... if teams try take away Guthrie inside - he sees the floor, finds EVERYBODY else on the perimeter who can/do knockdown the 3 ball ... solid team that has beaten everyone they have faced - close games/had the blowouts on their end ... just a solid, well coached TEAM ... Warren is last years' team returning everyone but 6-7 Trent Taylor in the middle ... as good as they were last season making it to one win away in the Regional final to making the final four - imo this years Warren teams is BETTER than last season's team ... starts with maturity ... 9 seniors ... they all see the floor ... they all contribute ... 6-3 Chase Lupardus has replaced the 18 ppg of Trent Taylor, has added the ability to go both ways in the paint with strength on the blocks ... 6-5 Hayden Wells has stepped into a starting role - plays excellent D, scores the ball in the paint ... Jacob Sealey/Connor Barry have both found the consistency from beyond the arc ... Julian Stadelman 24ppg ... makes the offense run .. scores at all 3 levels and in transition ... off the bench - Colin Anthony /Tyson Cochran, Nick Cressey do it defensively better than many starters and have been adding 8-12 point per game offensively ... Warren with physical , man to man D ... can pressure the ball as well as any team ... the maturity and varsity experience shows in the defensive rotations, switches on picks, shading out front , communication... when the Warren D is at it's best the put on a clinic ... fun to watch ... add to the mix the Warren coaching staff - Coach Maddox, Duckworth, Mitchem, Coffman, Elzey - as good in game preparation as you will find ... going to be interesting to see if Warren goes to a zone at ANY point in the game - I HAVE NEVER IN 25 YEARS SEEN WARREN PLAY ZONE ... they will definitely use their bench - 8 deep is the tourney norm ... 2 excellent teams .. coaching staffs... individual players for both sides ... even better TEAM ball on both ends ... going to be good one ... I was torn between D3's Warren vs Miami Trace or heading to Waverly again to watch the lower bracket of D5 teams - Fairland vs Wheelersburg & Chesapeake vs Eastern Brown ... chose the D3's, my #1 and #2 ranked teams in my Elite 8 ... gotta love this time of year - the best against the best ...

Miami Trace is talented and undefeated yes, but the Warriors have dudes who have been in games like this numerous times. Warren could be playing the Miami Heat tonight and I'd still pick em. Warren - 65 / Miami Trace - 58. GO BIG BLUE!!!!
