Jeeps called three timeouts and dialed up plays right out of each timeout that led to two dunks by Roberts and a runout layup for Barnard. Norm and Fenton were in their bag tonight! Congrats to the Jeeps!*

[Basketball Is Life]

Tonight’s game from South Webster really showed me their identity. I watched a few other games from Prep and thought that the Jeeps would win by 15 plus which they won by 14. But I still thought that Prep played the best they could play and SW didn’t play that great. The thing about their identity I was talking about came when they had a 4 point lead with around 6 to go and Prep was on a on a big run, and SW ended up going on a big run to the seal the victory. As I said in an earlier post I thought ER and Hunter Barnard would be the keys to the game for SW and once again they were. The Barnard kid always usually plays well in big games no matter what sport. ER really impressed me tonight especially in the 4th quarter. I know that he had 0 points in the 4th quarter, but I thought that may have been his best quarter because of how he impacted the game by rebounding and his passes. He actually made a huge play as well when he dove on the floor for a loose ball late in the game. Good to see for ER. The refs also didn’t help the Jeeps tonight as I felt like they got robbed a few times on a few big calls. I do feel like SW needs a few more guys to step up if they want to win the State Ship. Word with Mault is that he was sick. Good luck to SW on Saturday vs ND. Glad to see that one team from the Southeast area will be going to the final four in D7!
