Dani C! I agree with you.

It really stinks that the moment was a little
Too big for the refs. The one ref was announced with 4 years experience?? I’m friends with one of them as well and was super happy for the guy to get a game of that rank but I don’t think he was ready. It wasn’t totally one sided, but I think the SE district ties made them call it a little more for Lutheran East. The missed Goal Tending in the first quarter was maybe the worst missed call I’ve seen in a long time, maybe ever. Regardless, Minford really played well and gave them a shot to win or tie the game late. That’s all you can ask for when you are going up against teams with the pedigree like LE.

congrats to minford on what sounded like an excellent game.
I took in the ECO Center in a different way than Goat did, so I didn’t have the same experience. I do agree that they should likely not be doing a state semi unless it is for teams both in the general area

I thought the scoreboards, seating and floor were all very good. Lots of sight lines and also lots of room for big crowds. I liked it a lot, but like I said, no concessions for me and I didn’t notice the wrong mascot, but I would have if I were a Minford fan lol

the one thing i disagree with is the future plans call for taking out the second level seats and putting in doctors and dentists offices. this move will eliminate 1,000 seats.

all of the renovations are not done yet as there is supposed to be a starbucks coming. all of the upgrades arent supposed to be done till next year.

Watched on OHSAA Boxcast, the officiating was atrocious. OHSAA got what they wanted, not sure why they want it, considering they’ll be 100 people at the non community private school festival Saturday at 10:45 AM. OHSAA system is broken, transferring 3 time in 3 years is a joke within itself. Idk what the answer is, but teams like Lue should not be in a DV bracket.

Phenomenal effort from Minford and they repped the SE district very well! Lutheran East couldn’t land the knockout blow as Minford kept fighting back. Just fell short at the end.

Congrats to Coach Shoe and his players. This will be one of the teams we still talk about 20+ years from now (God willing!). I know they didn’t win state, but this team belongs in the same conversation with SE teams such as 1988 Portsmouth, 1991 Unioto, 1995 Burg, 2005 Ironton, 2006 Webster, 2008 Chillicothe, 2009 Oak Hill, 2022 Waverly, etc.

Just an awesome team to watch and lived up to the hype their senior year after years of expectations. Best of luck to the Minford seniors and congrats on great careers.*

This was a very entertaining game to watch. I have been to about a dozen different sites for tournament games this year and the ECO Center is the nicest actual gym I have been to this post season. Lack of good parking is my only complaint for that facility.

Minford just didn't play good enough defense to win this game. Their zone defense was easily beaten for wide open shots or drives to the hoop by some simple ball rotations. Minford was extended too far out toward the half court line for it to work properly against LUE. It was the type of zone trap you would run against inferior ball handling teams, which is not the LUE. Just a strategic mistake by the Minford coaching staff in my "neutral" opinion.

Thats one thing consistent about se ohio sports. If your team loses it was the refs fault.

Everyone knows who had it in for Minford. He’s waited a long time for this moment. I’d like to know how he got the game.

Yes the refs were bad, but I still think LE would’ve took this one of the officials were fair.

i agree with you parking can be a problem especially if they are having classes at the same time.

future plans call for them to buy the building behind the gym and turn that into parking.
