I’ve been keeping a close watch on the flag football team warren has been doing and I have to say that this question of who the new coach should be goes no further than Jake Frame who has been coaching this group in flag football. Jake is a hometown guy and won’t leave Warren to go and coach someone else in 3 years like the last three coaches have done. Let’s stop these 2-3 year hires and get someone who is here to stay!

This is certainly a take. Jake is brothers of former warrior Joel Chevalier, member of first team in Warren history to win a playoff game(s). Chevalier played WR/DB and was a force in the kicking/punting game.Megatron wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 11:04 pm I’ve been keeping a close watch on the flag football team warren has been doing and I have to say that this question of who the new coach should be goes no further than Jake Frame who has been coaching this group in flag football. Most of the staff staying on as well. Should be good continuity for the players.

Warren made this a harder job of hiring than it should’ve been. Glad they listened to me.TigerALUM99 wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 6:54 pmJason Gandeebeg003 wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 6:25 pmWho is the local, Warren guy then?TigerALUM99 wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 5:23 pm
So he wasn’t the AD at Glenville? I must not know what I’m talking about then. He must’ve overthought because if he didn’t he’d have a good local guy who is loyal to the school and not have guys there for brief stints. Too bad High Schools don’t have buy out clauses. I’m sure they’re coming with NIL on the horizon. Kimes was leaving the day the PHS job opened up. Everyone knew that. Day, from what I was told, returned “home”. Get a guy who will stay and not look for something better. Obviously the last three Harold hires have.

Re: Warren Coaching Job
I think this hire is a good move for Warren. Gandee is very knowledgeable about football. He’s been around the program for many years and the kids like him. You will always have someone say bad things about every body. Take it with a grain of salt.
I can guarantee you he wont bail in a few years and go elsewhere. Everyone kept saying “ get the guy from Phs” , I’m sure he’ll be a good coach, no way would he stay at warren. A job opens up at phs and he’s gone.
Gandee raised his boys in this school and truly bleeds blue. I may not agree with everything he says or does, but him taking the job is good for Warren football.
Oh and by the way, I read some stuff about a couple boys maybe transferring out, depending on who they hire, see ya!! Those aren’t the kind of kids you want at Warren playing with the other kids anyway. That tells me it’s all about them and not the team. I’ve played for coaches I didn’t like but I loved the game and everything associated with it.
I truly blame the parents more than the kids. This seems to be one of the biggest problems at warren right now- parents living their unproductive sports life through their kids. My Dad would have said “ in life you’re not always going to like your boss, but you go to work, do what’s
right, and do your job”.
Anyways, good luck Coach Gandee. Go Blue!!

Re: Warren Coaching Job
Congratulations and best wishes to Jason Gandee.
I have known his family for many years and had him in junior high BYF church group many years ago. He is a fine man just like his dad Danny was. Enjoyed watching Jason play football, basketball and baseball at Belpre. Always hustled and played his heart out. He will do the same as a head coach.
Warren got a very good man to lead their football program.
