As for myself I would love to see those guys come back to Ironton. They would restore the things that the program is missing, Discipline and fundamentals. Those are the little things that have not been taught that develope into big things that causes a team to be vulnerable. I think thses guys would be great for the program. They are Ironton guys that have given many years to Ironton in the past. They may be older but they still hold the knowledge of the game as well as anyone I know.

Despite the three straight heartbreaking losses before the amazing final four run Minford went on, I always thought Shoemaker was a good coach. With Ironton having a lot of young talent and bringing back Ashton Layne, this is the premier open coaching job in the southeast district. WIth that being said, I just don't think Shoemaker will take it. It just doesn't make sense at all. I promise being a superintendent and a coach is hard, for example, coach Marc Kreischer. He was one of the best coaches in the 2000's decade in all of Ohio. But he gave up coaching to be the superintendent, gotta provide for your family.
