In 1970, President Nixon signed a measure banning cigarette advertising on radio and television,to take effect Jan.1,1971.
I know many people smoke today, but I think it should be outlawed. It'd be tough at first but cigarettes are really bad for you. I know a lot of people that will probably read this will be smokers. But, I'm not quite sure about this, but I heard that everytime you smoke a cigarette it takes 10 minutes away from your life, or maybe it was 5 minutes. But that's pretty drastic considering some people smoke a pack or two a day.
