What The World Needs Now Is Love-Jackie DeShannon-1965-#7

M & L---Burt Bacharach and Hal David

Stateside,Kentuckian Jackie DeShannon, who had once fronted a group that became the Crusaders, presented a grittier image of the female singer.
It took David and Bacharach two years for them to get around to finish this song

PSYCHO
STRYCHNINE
MARLENE

All by The Sonics, a Seattle group who more-or-less invented "Garage Rock", as they actually practiced-recorded in a garage.
