Bryan Rolfe has taken his game to another level.

35 at West on Friday

Came back with 30 tonight to lead the Indians back against an Oak Hill team that shot the lights out (12 3's).

Bryan is a very tough cover at this point.

Unioto was down for the first time after the first quarter of a game tonight, down 48-47 with 6 minutes left. Cole Cottrill hit a deep 3, followed by a Sawyer Lovely 3, Berkshire would tie it at 53, then the Shermans took over to finish. Hosley with a couple FTs, Kennedy layup, and then Logan Swackhammer scored 7 straight (his only points) to finish off the win.

Berkshire was 7-23 from 3 and were definitely a game opponent. They had some nice length, but with their style of play, it really took the Shermans bigs out of their element.

Unioto was 11-22 from 3 (Kennedy 5, Cottrill 3, Lovely/Swackhammer/White 1).
Scoring: Kennedy 21 (13 in the 1st), Cottrill 13, Hosley 10, Swackhammer 7, Wheeler 6, Lovely/White 3, Edler 2, Ogan 1

The Shermans will travel to Fairfield Union next Tuesday night and I imagine that that one will be a doozy.

trojandave wrote:Portsmouth dropping 20 spots after a buzzer beating loss on the road is virtually unheard of in the history of pfloyd's Elite 8. The Trojans lost to Africentric 57-50 last night. Looks like another freefall for the Trojans in the next edition of the Elite 8.

The Fox kid for South Point is indeed worthy of mention. He had a very good game vs. the Trojans, and made 4 consecutive FT's in crunch time. Also #22 (name.....Hall?) had a really good game and I believe scored the winning layup at the buzzer. South Point returns 4 starters for next year.

yes the Fox kid did look really good he is a handfull

Rough night for the SVC overall. Anthony McFadden made his return for Paint Valley and that's huge for them, will make them much more competitive.

Great win for Circleville over Bloom Carroll.

Im not surprised by the big drop for the Trojans, they were beaten by a team that Chesapeake handled and then took one on the chin from a team that most of us thought they should have blown out.....long season, although 2-3 I believe they will get rolling sooner rather than later

Im willing to put it out there ,this trojan team is much better then people are thinking .and we lost to some teams that we should have beat a couple times in a couple different years " south point being one of them" and then went on to make deep runs. and yes we will lose a couple more games but Kyree Allison and Kendall Renolds is enough alone to keep us in any game we play and have proven it so far this year ,when we get that third man to step up and start scoring we will be just fine .

I have plans on seeing this team play at the convo ...after all it is our home away from home

... to my Portsmouth posters/friends I have to agree with you - the drop by Portsmouth was indeed unprecedented - I didn't even realize that I had dropped them that far until biggdowgg pointed it out ... although the loss to South Point said "whoa maybe the Trojans aren't as good as they should be" to the committee - with that said PHS will be taking on Valley on Monday the 28th of Dec. - this will tell me much more than a 2 point loss at the buzzer ... PHS fans I am an equal opportunity "dropper" of teams - I did the same to my Logan Purple - I kept them where they were in the top 15 due to improvement on D, the "hope talk" of improvement BUT at some point you have to get "W's" LHS lost all 3 games last week - albeit they were IN and arguably should have beat both Lancaster & Vinton County BUT they didn't ... there WILL BE a game that signals the turning point for my Chiefs - when the D does what it is doing now - holding teams under 50 - AND the offense puts up 60-70 ppg (AND it WILL) ... when the bigs down low relax in the paint - this doesn't mean be slow, this means make basketball moves/foot work/body control/"touch" are basketball moves not just "putting the ball up" THIS IS ALMOST THERE ... when the perimeter shooters are not only getting the ball in positions to score BUT ARE READY TO SHOOT & SCORE when they get the ball ... there WILL BE THAT GAME I promise when ALL of this comes together - it's there in "individual possessions" already ! it has to become the "norm" ... as Coach Kellough said "after the first of the year " ... we're getting closer to Jan 1 ... Logan WILL turn things around after the New Year AND WILL GET W's in the POST SEASON - write it down ...

You know I love you, pfloyd, and really I knew we would drop in your rankings, and we should have......I just didn't think that we would drop without a parachute..... :D There's no question that there is room for improvement for the Trojans......I saw some of that improvement vs. Africentric. There are 3-4 sophomores either starting or playing key roles at this point of the season, and it's taking time for Coach Collins to find a working rotation.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next one isn't until after next weekend, due to infrequent games over the holidays.
