2014 burg got 5 points better from week 1 to week 12 over the tigers!!

I aint saying tigers win/lose here either, 1 would like to think u have a chance in anygame you play I mean even a good team can have bad night

that's what I'm trying to say. exactly.
I know burg is the better team right now. but who knows.that football bounces funny ways sometime.

Burg vs. Ironton is always a Huge game. Tremendous gate, big split the pot and great atmosphere. The kids love to play against each other and get jacked up for the games. This will be an electric playoff game. I think that Wheelersburg will pull away in the 2nd half and get the win. Maybe not by as much as last year but more than the one score that it was at Ironton earlier in the year. Wheelersburg's offense was very rudimentary in that first game. The coaches have opened up more of the playbook and it is much more diverse now. I don't think Ironton will be able to stop all facets of it. The Tigers may be able to stop one part but The Burg coaches will eventually find the weak point and exploit it. Plus the Pirate D has been a stone wall for most the season.

Hey CG, you know it may work to your advantage IF Ironton does make the playoffs. You could walk to the game and get BG6 his coffee at the same time. I'm sure Kittycannon will give you a ride back home.

5-4 4 a reason.four solid teams handed the IHS FT's some serious thoughts to ponder. We got daBurg early before their massive "D&O" improvements. Ashland would be 3-0 against the other FT's 3 season opening losses. I truly think Ashland is the real deal on the FT's schedule then DaBurg, russell, beechwood. Without 'Dino the FT's have no x-Plosiveness on O.
Before "irate" w/a "P" gets on here to hate...
No reason to, I gave WHS their approval as "YES": 2nd best on the IHS loosing 4 streak.
So, swallow & move on to the next topic to hate on.

Here's what I think and believe. The Burg has two big wins on their resume. Not just wins but total domination against two pretty darn good teams in Jackson and Valley. I know the score in week one between Ironton and the Burg was close and perhaps a bounce here or there could have changed the outcome. But, one would have to be a big time HOMER to think Ironton has improved as much as the Burg as the season progressed. I think Burg's coaches would whip the crap outta anything Ironton coaches tried to throw at them. They are they much better and the signature wins prove it.

Burg has dominated every game so far this year. Ironton being somewhat of an exception. Score was close but Ironton couldn't get their offense going. One big play. That's it. The offense has evolved from week to week and keeps getting better. The defense is well schemed and hard nosed. Idk many high school teams that run a Nickle package as their base defense. That's give them an advantage in every scenario. Guys get to fly to the ball and outside run plays are cut short. The Dline gets to be more aggressive and the linebackers as well. It makes for some exciting football. Special teams are just outstanding. From the coach to the kids on the field. They are excited about what they do. Offensively I think they are the best in SEO. They can spread you out and run, throw it over your head or they can line up big and pound the ball right at you. It has to be demoralizing to have to prepare a team for all that.
