It seems like many of these guys have an agenda. What's the deal?

I call them Super Dads....their son will play for OSU/Reds/Bengals come hell or high water. Those that get in his way...lookout.

Note: Dad quit after riding the bench on JV but was one of the best at intermurals in college and was as good as the actual scholarship players.

Biddy league and AAU are two completely different things.

It seems to me these "other" coaches all have their own agenda. Fill that garage with trophies and tell the kids how much smarter they are than the local school coach. Tell kids if they just focus on one sport they will get a scholarship. Feed them a line as long as they keep cranking out those trophies.

Go for 3, coach. Pour it on!

It simply means why do we put up with these daddy coaches who only exist to support little johnnies dreams that they are living vicariously through. And why do we put up with AAU coaches who keep kids tied up in travel ball all freakin year?

We need something in place to govern the idiots. Kids get to high school and they are burnt out.

We already have a system in place to govern “the idiots”, its called parents. If you are not happy with daddy coach then volunteer your time and coach and I’m pretty sure anyone who plays on a travel team has chosen to be there.

Ask any athlete that plays basketball, baseball, softball or volleyball at the college level if they played "travel ball". You will find out that 95% of them did. So "travel ball" must not be all bad!
