Has there been any mention of at least date for a new coach to be named lately?

Yes NY has a JV team. But last years team had 6-7 seniors and 6-7 freshmen so There have been athletes walking the halls and not playing in the past few years. I think the right coach can get these kids excited about playing NY football again.55buckeyes98 wrote:For Buckeye posters are numbers not high enough to field a JV team and a freshman team anymore? How do we get the numbers up and keep them around 60? What were the numbers this year? Is there a way to recruit more kids to play? I can think of a lot of kids who didn't play growing up. Are there more kids walking the halls that would help with depth, etc?
If everyone knows who is this coach then? My comment about being hush hush had nothing to do with Boston. I was bringing up the Boston topic to waste time while we waited for the hire... We are all waiting for them to name a new coach.Dogpound81 wrote:I don't think coach Boston comes back to football. He told me last week he took a job in corrections and will be leaving by March. Nelsonville-York does not need anyone from last years staff! New Blood New Era of N-Y football.Ground Buck wrote:We don't need Boston back. But the new coach needs to bring back the one assistant coach who should have never been let go in the first place. That is what should happen if they want the kids to play.
Just like last year!Buford T Rutter wrote:Is they gonna hire that one rutter. That boy was plum tough. He could get them bucks aplayin some ball. Heck, they might even beat us week 1 this year.
That is non sense. They have been very successful under the old staff. There is a lot of N-Y pride and football knowledge inside that program.LHS 72 wrote:Nelsonville-York does not need anyone from last years staff! Part of the problem at Nelsonville-York is that they haven't been able to keep the turnover down on the coaching staff. I would asse the new staff will be a mix of old and new.MeyerSpread wrote:That is non sense. They have been very successful under the old staff.
