Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
... with the end of the season approaching, there have been a number of makeup games for earlier postponements due to weather , etc. or teams playing "foreign" opponents from across THE RIVER ... these scores are difficult to find or even know the games were intact played ... please help me to update the records going into the final week or so before the "post season" begins ... thanks
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
man Pfloyd my eagles are 10-2 since this new year and have fallen to 37th this really is a good team we got out in beaver just comes down to having fire and playing hard and we are inconsistent doing both every game. top tier teams don't get beat by 10-10 teams no matter how scrappy that 10-10 may be if shots don't fall then just out play and out hustle those teams and u can almost always win and we have trouble always doing that. but this is a good team and should have all the pieces together everybody being heathly I look for us to see u at the convo.
GO EAGLES
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
South Webster is 8-12 with Jackson and Northwest left this upcoming week.

12-9 Logan as the 6th best team??? Hey, it's your poll, your team. Credibility is wavering though.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
I'll toss out an argument for Logan, winners of 10 out their last 12, beat VC, pounded Warren last night.
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
Look at Logan's schedule, see how their team has progressed over the season. Look who they beat. #6 is about right as I see it.
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
Logan needs to be put in the top eight if they can beat Warren at Warren
GO LOGAN..The anti-Christ is among us
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
I have seen a LOT of hoops this season ... lots of teams ESPECIALLY those teams in the top 30 of the rankings ... when you see teams early in the season you get an impression of their potential by seasons end ... Logan at the beginning of the season wasn't even a "team" on the court ... totally lost at both ends of the court ... watching Logan play you visually knew the progression of teaching/learning in practices by Coach Kellough - Defense was first on the menu of what needed to be done ... preseason/early part of the season WAS devoted to teaching the kids how to play the game of defense - learn the concepts/learn where they were supposed to be & why ... from the stands you could see the kids "thinking" every trip an opponent made down court ... thinking & playing don't mix ... offensively - no one knew their roles , there was definitely talent but knowing what to do with that talent in the TEAM concept - not there ... each game from the cheap seats you could see less thinking more reacting , the teaching/learning was taking hold ... close calls with solid teams early, games Above the Lancaster-Dixon Line had the kids beginning to believe that DEFENSE was in fact the key to winning games ... as the team struggled offensively Coach K was developing each player's role as a part of the team - the youngsters were becoming comfortable with the speed/strength of the varsity game - perimeter scoring roles, defensive roles, inside people were learning what they COULD DO and what they COULD NOT DO ... by January 1 the framework for a TEAM came together - the thinking on the court had been replaced by reacting naturally to situations ... in January a strange phrase called BASKETBALL MATURITY was seen ... on court "control" of situations was seen ... on Saturday night the complete package had finally arrived - On court maturity, role players doing what their roles required nothing out of control, offensive/defensive EXECUTION was seen for the first time in a long time ... Logan had arrived ... without hesitation Logan is THE team which has shown the most improvement in ALL phases of the game from game 1 to Saturday night's game with Warren Below the Line this season ... with the losses by ALL but Unioto/Lucasville Valley this past week Logan has earned it's jump into the Elite 8 this week imo ... now if the we could just have a "season do-over " beginning where we are now ! even those games vs the teams up North would be great matchups imo ...
Congratulations to Coach K & the Purple ... Lane Little PG/scorer/leader , Cole Baron (defense, defense and more defense), Sam Evans (scorer/rebounder/ probably the BIGGEST growth in skills & maturity on the team) Isaiah Smith (senior leadership/inside presence/learned to become a bb player this year), Kory Henthorne (the BIG MAN in the middle, has learned/is learning to play the post position, another summer of footwork - look out , the paint will be his), the youngsters ! - the freshmen > Bo Myers ( Mr. 3-ball), Caleb Bell (3 ball/ballhandling/defense) , Caiden Landis ( inside vs the opponent's big/spelling Henthorne) ... truly a team having grown into a TEAM this season ... thanks for letting us share from the Cheap Seats !!!

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
same can be said for my Trojans who struggled early,I posted after our loss to south point that we was still trying to find ourselves after losing Sky Oliver and Alex Dickerson and trying to figure out the two kids to step up and take them starting positions after a few games Coach Collins and his staff had these kids playing some great basketball even the games we lost was lost by small margins with new kids in and out of the lineup ......bottom line...you come to play now,you bring your A game every GAME ,or you go home! no more excuses ...to me ,THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF BASKETBALL SEASON!!
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
I did not realize Notre Dame was 16 and 4 , two of them losses was to 1 seed East ....
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
Yea by 17 and 24 points and East is like 29th...that's laughable for real but it's just an opinion. Peebles is ranked higher that Eastern and they lost to Eastern at home. I use to look forward to this topic, oh my
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
