Most of the TVC teams are playing in a Tournament in Nelsonville. 9 teams each in 7th and 8th grade.

This is Athens only tournament this year. I believe Jackson played in a holiday tourney at Rio Grande, so I assume they aren't playing in one this week?
Yes, the Logan tournament is just 3 teams - Athens, Logan, Vinton Co. Last year Athens played in the Nelsonville tournament. 7th grade beat Belpre in the championship. As for this year, our administration thought by playing in the Logan tournament, it might offer a chance to play some different teams we haven't played in the last few years. Unfortunately, it backfired. I guess I don't understand why Logan didn't cancel, call up NY and say I've got three teams in each age group. Any way you can add them to your tourney? Seems silly to go ahead and host the 3 team tourney, but oh well. Still gives the teams games this week.

It would have been great if Athens, Logan and VC would have played at Nelsonville. That would have been a great tournament. Probably to late. The first round has been played already.

I'm not sure on the 8th grade side other that Fed Hock plays Belpre in the semi finals there as well.

Nelsonville-York 8th grade tourney semi final games are Alex vs NY and Belpre vs FH. Winners play on Tuesday. Not sure about the 8th grade Logan tourney. I assume Athens probably won it.

In the Logan tournament, with weather affecting things all week, it looks like they changed the format to single elimination. VC got the blind draw, so with Athens defeating Logan Monday night, it will be Athens vs VC tomorrow morning for the championship.

Athens 7th grade beat Vinton Co. today. Not exactly sure what format they are playing now (true round robin?) but looks like they will be playing Thursday against Logan. If Athens wins, they will be tournament champions.

Athens 8th grade beat Vinton Co. 50-31 to win the 8th grade portion of the Logan Tournament. This Athens team just finished their junior high run with a 33-3 record the last two years. Fun group to watch.

Belpre 8th took care of federal hocking. Not much of a contest. Belpre vs Alexander Thursday should be a good one

Warren Blue Junior High completed their season tonight. Unfortunately the 7th lost their first game of season to a tenacious Marietta Orange team 34 - 26. They finished up at 15-1. The 8th grade lost a tough one as well 39 - 32.

On to the county tournament next week. Go Blue.

Belpre over Fed Hock by 13 or 14 I think. Belpre plays the NY/River valley winner. Not sure who won. RV was up 17-14 at the half.

Game is at Nelsonville High School tonight at 6.

8th grade championship is at 7:30 in the HS. Alex vs Belpre
