Re: 2016 TVC Ohio Predictions
I would say
Athens , Meigs will duke it out for first place
Nelsonville and VC will fight for 3rd and 4th place
Alexander . River valley and Wellston will finish 5,6,7
Just an early opinion

Re: 2016 TVC Ohio Predictions
Since you posted schedules , rumor is that Meigs is attempting to get out of the Jackson game .
I can't verify that however

Meigs
Big Gap
Does it really matter after that, but I will go with:
VC/Wellston/NY
Athens
Alexander
RV
Poo, why do they want out of the Jackson deal...is that a real thing?

Re: 2016 TVC Ohio Predictions
Took many many years for them to start scheduling good out of confrence competition and now they want to run from it. I hope this isn't truePoo Bear wrote:Since you posted schedules , rumor is that Meigs is attempting to get out of the Jackson game .

That is why I asked if this is a real thing, I am skeptical until I hear a little more.Bird Dog wrote:Took many many years for them to start scheduling good out of confrence competition and now they want to run from it. A Meigs win in that game gives them a lock for a playoff I would think, a loss probably puts them at 9-1 or 8-2 and still in the playoff hunt. Logan is down and I think they are the favorites in all the TVC games this year.

Totally a joke. Meigs will be 10-0 and make a deep run in the playoffs. We are a football school. Always have been and always will be.ShoeHorn wrote:1 Athens

Re: 2016 TVC Ohio Predictions
I'm not sure how reliable my Information was about Meigs wanting out of the contact
I will do some more research
It's not gonna happen anyways so it doesn't matter

Re: 2016 TVC Ohio Predictions
Athens will have its QB back, Treyce Albin, who nobody got to see play last year after injuring his elbow in August. Plus all their skill players on the outside.
But more importantly ... They have every single lineman returning ...
6'4 255 Broady Rogers
6'3 290 Cam Kassler
6'0 225 Luke Carpenter
6'0 240 Brock Stewart
6'2 220 Nick Engleman
Athens also started 6'2 200lb freshman, Justin Hines, on the defensive line some weeks ... and they had another 5'10 230 freshmen, Gage Penrod, who could have probably played in some varsity games.
With the work they have been putting in, not to mention their height/weight was taken last summer, I'm guessing Athens will have its biggest offensive line in years.

Re: 2016 TVC Ohio Predictions
Athens or Meigs would be my guess. Both have play-off possibilities in addition to league title aspirations.
Athens needs to find a defensive "mentality" to go along with their size and/or depth and what always seems to be an offensive team that can produce points. Very well coached team though is my perception from the outside and that goes a long ways in winning HS football games.
Meigs even though losing the Sheets kid will be pretty athletic and are always a scrappy bunch, need to be a little more fundamental from what I observed last year. A lot of trick-er-ation type stuff, double passes, etc. but sometimes that can get a team on their heels if it works I guess just not my thing.
I actually expect NY-Wellston-VC to be pretty good as well, but I know zip about RV and Alex just no idea who returns for them although my sense is Alex loses a lot.
VC is climbing the ladder and will win some games. Hearing 6-4 and 7-3 but that is from an old VC guy lol who just can't help himself.

Re: 2016 TVC Ohio Predictions
The TVC should have big points. NY should make the playoffs at 6-4. D5needs 140 points. D3 needs 160 points. D4 needs 180 points. Don't bash me, these are very conservative guesses to show points per game
Athens 40 points
Meigs 40 points
Vinton( 30 points
NY 30 points
Wellston 25 points
River Valley 20 points
Alexander 10 points

Well with all that back and the best coaching in the Area Athens should win it easy.. With size like that and Albin healthy they will run over the little teams in the league.. Bulldogs are Back!!!!93Bulldog wrote:Athens will have its QB back, Treyce Albin, who nobody got to see play last year after injuring his elbow in August. Plus all their skill players on the outside.

Re: 2016 TVC Ohio Predictions
Since Athens joined the TVC, what is the breakdown between who has won the Ohio division?
Is it just NY and Athens that have won? If so how many for each?
