Paint Valley loses a lot but in talking with one of their players, they seem really confident for the up coming season.

Piketon is a team I would like to see have a good year.

Zane Trace and Paint Valley will probably near the top of the league.
Piketon has many parts returning.
Adena has a new coach but has ability to be in the mix
Unioto loses some important pieces so they will be an unknow.
Southeastern should see improvement
Huntington should see improvement.
Westfall usually on paper look as a contender but the last few have been a struggle.

Going out on a limb this year for the SVC

1. Zane Trace-Still loaded with Talent
2. Paint Valley-Pete always has things going
3. Huntington- Has the QB back and the leading tackler in the league and the transfer from WV gets to play this year.
4. Piketon- Coach runs a great program and is always solid
5.Southeastern- Either 3-5 could flip flop. There coach has his system in place and turning the corner.
6. Adena- The new coach blues and lost the two stud running backs.
7. Westfall- The also have new coach. It will take him a couple years and they will be back on top again.
8. The U- Lost everyone. This could be the last year in the league.

Who does Piketon have returning?

On the surface, it would appear that Birkhimer would move to QB and Travis Veach would be their leading returning receiver. Defense took some hits with Smith, Chitwood, Williams all graduating.

Gullion is 4-6 or 5-5 every year.

Zane Trace has a lot of starters to replace, had 21 or 22 seniors last year. They still should be pretty good though, if PV can field a decent QB they should compete with ZT and Piketon is in the mix also.

Im hearing Westfall is going no huddle again and the QB has put on about 20lbs of muscle.

Zane trace is far and away the best in the svc. All other teams are going to compete for 2nd. As for my tanks we beat Hillsboro 3-2. Elder looked good. Stopping the run was a concern our lbs didn't show up. We have a lot of skill on offense. Finally got some bball players to play.

The u scrimmaged burn Union Friday. First series was shaky but then the settled down. Varsity won 2-0 then they did goal line. Overall good job. Jamboree game vs galia this Friday.
