Re: WK 11: 8. Fredericktown (8-2) @ 1. Fort Frye (10-0) Region 21
Yea I watched them looks like they are a run heavy Read Option team. Dillion Smith is huge 6-3 220 going to be a hoss to bring down but doesn't look as fast as Tanner Clark from Caldwell. Thing that makes this years Fort team special is all the weapons they have. Lewis, Baker , Lockery , Rice , Waterman , Layton, and Carpenter could touch the ball. Haven't even truly used Carpenter yet bc of an early season injury he will be a huge factor next season. Already one of the most important defensive players. Want to give a huge shout out to Johnnie on the spot Trent Bradford kid has been huge on defense this year creating turnovers.

But NC has a dominating defense. But back to this game, it should be a close one.EasternDspy wrote:Fredericktown has been blown out a couple times but they are still (8-2) coming off best win. Anyone got any info on them? I'm still not sold on NC they have a terrible offense.

The qb doesn't even look comparable to Clark from Caldwell at least from a running perspective and Fort Frye did a decent job on him. They do look like they have a ton of other athletes though so if they spread it around it could be tough. Still picking Fort #RepPVCEasternDspy wrote:Yea I watched them looks like they are a run heavy Read Option team. With this game being in Beverly, the Cadets charmed season continues for another week. I predict FF pulls this one out with a last second score, winning by 3 points or less. These are the playoffs, every team is good. Throw the records out now.

I think Fort Frye will use the speed of Lockery, Waterman and Lewis to hit big plays.

Good luck to the Cadets....represent the PVC well!!!

Pastuer has Caldwell and Fort Frye in the regional final that be fantastic.

That would be awesome!! Good thing is Caldwell plays on Friday night, Fort on Saturday. Can catch both of them playing!EasternDspy wrote:Pastuer has Caldwell and Fort Frye in the regional final that be fantastic.

Just looking at Fredricktown's schedule. The only beat Utica 21-12, could have been a bad night for them or Utica REALLY improved. They came to Caldwell for preview this year. Skins pulled their starters after 1st when it was already 28-0. Our JV played rest of the way and did very well.

Utica beat Northridge 57-16 in week 10. Fort beat Northridge 28-13 in week 5. It's fruitless to compare scores.

Did not catch that.....and yes it is normally fruitless to compare scores. But just about everyone does it, that is how you try to compare teams. Also why I stated " they could of had a bad night or Utica really improved".icanpickem wrote:Utica beat Northridge 57-16 in week 10. Fort beat Northridge 28-13 in week 5. Northridge was (3-0) when Fort Frye played them and they lost their QB for the year in that game and pretty much gave up.
Re: Playoffs #8 Fredericktown @ #1 Fort Frye
Keep in mind that Utica is an old rival of Fredericktown, and Fredericktown did get beat up the week before. Also Utica did compete with NC this year as well. I expect a close game, and Fredericktown has the capability to pull the upset.icanpickem wrote:Utica beat Northridge 57-16 in week 10. Fort beat Northridge 28-13 in week 5. I say Cadets are a 2 point favorite but this game could go either way I say either way it won't be an upset.

LBs Layton, Carpenter, Bradford , and Rice will need to buckle us the chins straps and tackle because they like to spread it out and pound it with the big line. Team speed don't seem to be a huge strength of the Freedies

All things being equal, I hope the long bus ride puts The Freddies to sleep.
