Will Unioto leave the SVC?
Will we join Chillicothe, Jackson, Miami Trace, Washington CH, Hillsboro and Greenfield McClain? I think it would be a good fit for us.

Re: Will Unioto leave the SVC?
Move Unioto up to the big division. Find one more school to make 8 teams.
Slide Waverly into the small division.

I agree with you YTB. Union-Scioto and the rest of the SVC stand pat. If it is not broken, why fix it? Then again I never would have dreamt the SCOL would divest 5 schools and then those schools join Jackson in a new conference.

Re: Will Unioto leave the SVC?
something is going to happen, Im sure of it. Waiting to hear what they come up with
Re: Will Unioto leave the SVC?
So if Unioto leaves the current SVC to join the new league, and Waverly replaces them in the SVC, you would have something like this...
New Division
Jackson
Chillicothe
Washington Court House
Miami Trace
Greenfield McClain
Hillsboro
Unioto
New SVC
Waverly
Adena
Huntington
Paint Valley
Piketon
Southeastern
Westfall
Zane Trace
However, that would leave the new division unbalanced with only 7 teams. Still targeting someone like Circleville?

Re: Will Unioto leave the SVC?
I just don't see waverly or unioto changing leagues. the are both the bigger fish of the pond enrollment wise in their leagues, and travel is good. I just don't see it.

Re: Will Unioto leave the SVC?
for unioto at least, it would be a step up in competition but maybe too much, too fast.----------------and waverly just needs solid coaching and good work ethics. and they have excellent facilities. I think they are currently in the better 2 of the smaller leagues.

Re: Will Unioto leave the SVC?
The SVC is a much better run league to start with TB and the travel would be better and the fans travel much better to basketball games in the SVC than in the SOC. I think it would be much better for Waverly to be in the SVC and have said that for years.
A football league with only 5 teams is a nightmare to schedule around, finding 6 games a year makes for some crazy travel.

Re: Will Unioto leave the SVC?
Time to move on folks the U will not be leaving the SVC.
Say what ever you want, it is not Unioto's best interest to leave the SVC.
And they are far from dominate in the SVC
Unioto SVC results past 30 years:
Football- 1 shared league title
VolleyBall- 4 league titles shared twice
Boys basketball- 6 league titles, three of those have came in the last 3 years.
Girls Basketball - 13 league titles
Boys Baseball- 12 league titles
Softball- *only back 10 years* 2 league titles
Golf- *only back 22 years* 15 titles
Wrestling- Only one season of league play, no titles
Could not find the stats on the running sports,
but we really excel there so I would imagine some impressive numbers
As far as league titles
Cross County- dominate in the boys, wins their share on the girls side
Track- See above
Soccer- not a league sport.
Why leave the SVC and give up 30 plus years of stability?
How many conferences has Chillicothe been in the last twelve years?
More importantly how many conferences will Chillicothe be in the next twelve years?
The SVC will change if or when any Schools of Ross County consolidate.

Re: Will Unioto leave the SVC?
Unioto does not dominate in every sport, but they are consistently near the top year in a year out. They are not so dominate they need to leave, but I can see where they might want to leave. I just hope their administration doesn't mess with perhaps the best ran league in this area just so that they can find better competition, if that is their goal then they should leave the SVC and find a better fit, and not bring about major change to the league.

I know most leagues don't even have an all sports banner but this would lead one to think UHS is dominant
I would be good with the SVC adding Waverly and Greenfield for an Awesome 10 team league.
