They need to have someone emerge at Tailback. Hard to see Minor carrying it 15-25 times a game, I see him more as a 8-12 carry/change of pace guy.

Offensive line should be pretty solid with Henthorne, Carter, and Harper.

Receiver will be a strength. Walsh is a great athlete, will need to be consistent in getting the ball to playmakers.

Defense is, again, the biggest question mark. Linebacker play was pretty weak last season, and most of those guys return. Can they make the step up? Will the scheme change at all? The line will probably not be as good.

Corner should be pretty solid, but they lose a lot at safety (Karns and Isaiah Smith).

Tailbacks and Linebackers and special teams are the main areas of concern. Is Burke still running the defense?

The Chiefs lost some very good football players to graduation but I have a feeling the will reload and be a very solid team this season.

I think if Minor is used the right way he can become a very good back. Heard he has good speed.

I really like the schedule as well.
Every game is winnable but they should all be challenging (minus Warren).

Yappi has Dublin Jerome bringing back everything and should win the OCC. Logan lost a lot. 2015 Calpreps Dublin Jerome 35 Logan 20. I would think DJ should beat Logan 42-14

Reality is Logan lost a TON to graduation and this will be huge rebuilding year. But with that; Logan has alot of kids who have been in the system a long time but again, they dont have a lot of playing time. Walsh will be a very good QB but he has never made a varsity start at QB but did play alot last year at WR so he knows what it feels like to play on Friday nights and he should play with confidence. Replacing a kid like McBride will be hard to do. Replacing a kid like Smith and Little, once in a blue moon type players, also very hard to do. The OL should be very good. I agree that Logan needs to find a couple of very good LBs this season or it could be open season for opponent running games. But all in all Logan has to find its identity early on and really play well as a team bc they will not have a head and shoulders stud player to rely on.

Logan football is back Boys . Maybe not what it was in the early 2000s with Conrad , angle and company but coach Burke had righted the ship .
Granted I only watch them once a year vs Jackson but that is my favorite game of the year . The physicality is off the charts . I do know the current 8th and 9th grade classes have Jackson all they want . Gonna be a fun few years in the future . Good Luck Chieftains .

My spies agree with me --- should be a winning season ( 6-4 with a shot at 7-3). I understand that they may change both O & D to take advantage of abilities & skills. Turn out could be interesting. I hear a lot may be out this year. Schedule shows only Jerome & DeSales that outclass the Chiefs on paper. Schedule shows some weak sisters but several others could be competitive with the Chiefs.

Bring on the autumn leaves................

My spies have a different opinion! By the way what is your spies smoking! Ha Ha! If Burke changes the O&D to take advantage of there talent, then he is a good estimator of his team and there Skills! Maybe we will see the wing t!

Losses to Dublin Jerome, Jackson and DeSales.

Possible losses to Cambridge and Meigs (won by less than a TD last year and they return a core group).

Outside chance at a loss to Athens and/or NY but I doubt it.

No nothing about Hamilton Ross.

7-3 should be the record.
