Them leaving the MSL was a big mistake. But there is a lot of pressure on school boards and athletic directors in central Ohio to be in the OCC.


Canal is going to finish 1-9 with only victory over lowly Westerville North (probably the worst program in the OCC over the last decade).

They've got similar issues to Nelsonville-York amongst players and coaching staff, including rumors that the coaching staff are looking for new jobs.

Canal is a basketball school. Them playing in the MSL-Buckeye where half of the league is terrible every year (AC, FU, HT and at those times either Teays Valley or Circleville) did them nothing for when they grew big enough to play in the Division 1 tournament.

Canal will beat Thomas Worthington. Thomas Worthington is far worse than Westerville North.

Canal's biggest issue is the district is losing solid families with set-in-stone value systems and instead is adding more riff raff over on Gender Road.

Good points. I should have said leaving the MSL was a big mistake in FOOTBALL. I think it actually been good for the Indians across the board.

On Thomas Worthington - they are definitely one of the worst OCC programs. However, over the last decade the Cardinals are 25-75 vs Westerville North's 11-89 over that period. North has 5 0-10 seasons vs one for Worthington. TW even went 5-5 in 2009 and 4-6 in 2011 and 2013. WN hasn't won more than 3 games in a season over the last decade.

I think you would have a much better chance in accomplishing both of those quests than you had trying to get into the TVC time after time. If you put forth as much effort trying to bring them in as you did trying to get into the TVC who knows?

Next year I look for Athens to be about where they were this year. Which is with in a game or so of a championship. Of course that's coming from the outside looking in.

We are available for a week 1 opener and also as a viable candidate for league membership. Whatever you want. Of course they won't schedule us. they won't even admit we have a pretty good record against them from long ago.

Think Athens wins at least 8 games in 2016. Meigs will be tough next year. Depending on who they play week one, could even see 9 wins.
