Playoffs #8 South Gallia @ #1 Danville
Re: Playoffs #8 South Gallia @ #1 Danville
There was probably over 3,000 people at that game... There won't be anywhere close to that for this game. Depending on how well SG fans travel, I would bet there will be open seats on the visitor side.LICKING COUNTY FAN wrote:Get there really early if you want to get a seat.
I went to the Lucas at Danville game and got there 63 minutes before kickoff and there was not a seat to be found.
As for this game, I can see a running clock.

This game is another reason why there should not be 8 teams out of each region in the playoffs.

Every year 8 seeds best 1s if anything I think we should go to 9 weeks and expand the playoffs.

Two teams that Danville played and handled pretty easily (Lucas & Fredericktown) I think will make some runs.

I think 32 teams per division is plenty.EasternDspy wrote:Every year 8 seeds best 1s if anything I think we should go to 9 weeks and expand the playoffs.
I would rather see 6 teams per region with your 1 and 2 seeds getting bys in the first round.
Championship's are won in the off-season

Disagree completely. Danville's two final 4 appearances came as a 7 and 8 seed. In '99 Danville (7th seed) played their arch rival East Knox (8th seed) in the regional finals. On '04 we knew if we got in we had a great shot at winning region, got in and won the region as an 8 seed. Look at Shadyside this year, guarantee Trimble hates seeing them.Orange and Brown wrote:I think 32 teams per division is plenty.EasternDspy wrote:Every year 8 seeds best 1s if anything I think we should go to 9 weeks and expand the playoffs.

Exactly in D1 even 16 seeds beat 1s. It's already so hard to make the playoffs. Think about the teams that have early season injuries you lose 2 games early you're pretty much done.

SG held a lead on Danville in the 2nd quarter of their previous match-up in 2006. Anything is possible.

Danville made a very good playoff team look horrible.
Danville is fast and their defense is tight.

Lucas does not seem. or did not seem to have any clue how to stop the pass against Danville.
That worries me about them.

LCFAN
That may be true, but they played about the best against Danville's spread. It's really hard to stop. Plus there aren't a lot of teams who can put up a front to stop Lucas' offense

I would be very shocked if this isn't a 50 point game.Galliaguy wrote:We heard the same back in 06 but SG gave them a game for 2-3 quarters
