Re: Ridgewood and Buckeye Trail week one
I just looked at Buckeye Trail first 5 gsmes Ridgewood Caldwell Frontier Barnesville Meadowbrook that may be the most difficult 5 game stretch any d7 school will see.

Yea that will be a tough stretch if they can come out like 3-2 in that they could be a playoff team.
Re: Ridgewood and Buckeye Trail week one
They should get one and Caldwell and Barnesville would be other to. Meadowbrook and Ridgewood are going to be nice teams.

Re: Ridgewood and Buckeye Trail week one
Barnesville had an upcoming team last year and Caldwell returns some nice players.
Re: Ridgewood and Buckeye Trail week one
Don't sleep on Trail, they have a coach that knows what he is doing now and a lot of talent. This game is going to be played at the baker activity complex. Therefore Ridgewood has to come take this one at Trail. I think trail could pull out an upset in this game.
Re: Ridgewood and Buckeye Trail week one
Ridgewood is a Div V team that returns around 7-8 starters on both sides of the ball from a 10-2 regional semi-finalist team last year.
My Prediction: Very long night for Trail.

Re: Ridgewood and Buckeye Trail week one
I don't think Trail wins this one. As per the gauntlet 5 game stretch they have I think they'll beat Frontier and I even think they'll beat Caldwell. Not Ridgewood. Don't think they'll beat Barnesville or Meadowbrook either. I don't believe Trail will be as good as their '07 team, but I can see them having their best season since that year.

If you think they'll lose to Meadowbrook, Ridgewood, Fort , Barnesville , and Caldwelll then I don't think the record will be that much better.

Re: Ridgewood and Buckeye Trail week one
I don't think they will lose to Caldwell. However, replace that with Monroe-Central because I do see their two league losses being FF and MC. Along with losses to Ridgewood, Meadowbrook, and Barnesville. So your point still stands I do think they will lose at least 5 and be 5-5 at best. I'm not sure who their two other non league games are with. Regardless, 5-5 is not much better than 3-7, but I still think they will have a better quality team than what they have had in awhile.

Re: Ridgewood and Buckeye Trail week one
Figured I would try to bring this one closer to the top. Two days left any more thoughts? I have Ridgewood winning 42-14, but perhaps a hard fought first half with a 21-14 score.

I think Trail keeps it close a little longer.
Trail 14
Ridgewood 28
Trail 14
Ridgewood 28
Re: WK1 Ridgewood @ Buckeye Trail
Very ugly game. Yellow flags everywhere. Ridgewood tried to give Trail many chances with turnovers and penalties but they could not take advantage. Both offenses looked bad most of the night. Ridgewood had their normal stout defense, and Trails defense was better than I expected. Not sure you can gauge much about either team because of all the penalties and turnovers.
