First Congrats to Zane Trace Football Program!

What would happen to the tip off classic, if Zane Trace and Grandview Hts. keep winning in football?

Would they still play at the tip off on the 27th?

Zane Trace vs Berne Union and Grandview Hts. vs. Westfall!

I think there mite be a decision Monday. One possibility is for Westfall to play Berne Union. I guess we will find out soon!

Grandview Heights has cancelled their game with Westfall due to football. Im guessing ZT will wait till they play Wheelersburg to decide on their game. Im guessing they will still play if they lose and if they win, Westfall would probably play Berne Union. If ZT plays Berne Union then Westfall will have a game to schedule/reschedule. Just my opinion.

I believe Westfall will not be in it. Grandview Hts. had to withdraw due to football playoffs.

I really wanted to watch that game! Guess not. I will have to watch and see when and if they reschedule it.

Westfall will be the better team record wise, but ZT may make a deeper tournament run and I think could be better during the second half (once healthy and Davidson is eligible)

The playoff run will certainly hurt the Pioneers early on. I'll be very impressed if they win tomorrow night, well unless BU is awful. They will be missing a crazy amount of scoring from last year early on and had their top two post players transfer out as well.

Westfall returns a ton of scoring, but is very undersized. They will be a really fun team to watch this winter with all of their guards and shooting.

Revised by the OHSAA in May 2015. One Transfer back to home school district.

I'll say that is likely misinformation. I'm going to edit that post. I won't spread rumors that I'm not certain on.

Season tips off today at 2:30 at Zane Trace High School when Amanda Clearcreek takes on Piketon.

It will be the first game for Coach Cody Carpenter at Amanda. Cody is a state record holder for assists in a game at Huntington HS in Chillicothe. He was an assistant at ZT under Coach Alley and last year at Unioto. I think he'll do well at Amanda if given time to get a program going. A very tough league and situation, but I wish him the best.

Piketon lost a very nice senior class that reached the Convo last winter. Coach Brabson has some nice athletes back, led by junior Casey Moore. Moore came on late last year to be one of the key Redstreaks including being their leading scorer in the tournament. Also, look for Cody Vulgamore and Steven Zimmerman to help Moore on the scoring side.

Should be a competitive game to start the HS basketball season!
