What he said, my guess is in a few more years this will change.

Hey, here is an idea. Pickerington travels extremely well so you can keep your gate and the dollars that flow with it and be 0-25 with 4 starters out for Week 2.Poo Bear wrote:Too much money to be made
This game isn't going anywhere
Oh, that is right it wouldn't be about the money then would it.

Jackson vs Pickerington would be sweet !Dandy Don wrote:Hey, here is an idea. Pickerington travels extremely well so you can keep your gate and the dollars that flow with it and be 0-25 with 4 starters out for Week 2.Poo Bear wrote:Too much money to be made

You don't have a winning record against little ole Burg much less someone like Pickerington. That series would last about two years before you bailed. But whatever lets you puff your chest out man.
Re: Jackson at Wellston
You are a depressed little dude . I simply said that this game will be played due to the huge Gate. Don don't let your disdain for Jackson football make you miserable .Dandy Don wrote:Poo Bear wrote:Jackson vs Pickerington would be sweet !Dandy Don wrote:

I don't care who Jackson plays week 1 but I don't see this cash cow going away
Funny you play fellow area d3 Athens and never once complain
Re: Jackson at Wellston
1. Not depressed, just realistic that long term program goals should not solely be about making money Week 1.
2. Athens is in our league.
3. Go pound your chest you guys are just the cat's meow.

Re: Jackson at Wellston
Sad man that you have that much hate for a Fellow county school.
It's not easy for Jackson to play bigger schools
But they play
D2 Logan
D2 winton woods
AAA cabel midland
D3 Chillicothe
And that little ole Burg team who is the best of the bunch

Re: Jackson at Wellston
One last time to see if you can grasp this.
No disdain for your school, but starting to question the logic of this game. We play "up" almost every game.
You guys may have had a tougher schedule last couple years, but we both know that is the exception not the norm.
I will be out front to collect your parking fee in a couple Saturdays from now, until then keep that chest puffed out.

Re: Jackson at Wellston
The Jackson/Wellston game should not be played. PERIOD!
It hasn't been a "rivalry" for about the last 40 years. Jackson's football program gets ZERO benefit from playing this game. Yes, it's a big gate, but it does NOTHING to prepare Jackson for the rest of the season or the playoffs. With the SEOAL ending after this season, Jackson and Logan need to start playing in Week 1 and the Jackson/Wellston game needs to be a thing of the past.
This post is not an insult to Wellston or their football program. There are times when they may beat Jackson, but history tells us that it does not happen very often. I have been saying for years that this game does very little to benefit either program. Starting off the season 0-1 almost every year obviously isn't a good thing for Wellston.
Finally, Jackson plays one hell of a football schedule this season, and they have been increasing the difficulty of their schedule for several years now. There have been times in the past when people could probably criticize Jackson's schedule, but that argument doesn't fly right now.
