I don't want to jinx them. These girls are still young and very humble, and if you brag on them too much, some of them start backing off.
young? 8 out of the 11 on the roster a junior or a senior and your freshman have plenty of big game experience with their AAU games.

Yes, mighty oaks fan,,,"young" I don't care how much AAU experience they have, they are still young, (frosh) 14 yrs old??? playing other 14 yr olds don't prepare you for playing varisity. You can play years of AAU and that doesn't expose you to varsity experienced girls (17 and 18 yrs olds). Most girls that play AAU don't play up,,if anything they play down an age group, if you knew much about AAU you would know this. You have your opinion I have mine, and the "young" ones will probably be the ones seeing alot of playing time,,along with the juniors which are only 16 year olds, and yes they also have AAU experience, but they are still only 16 yrs old. They are still mentally young at times. Don't worry though we are mature enough to take care of business when it comes to Oak Hill.

that is one of the funniest things I have ever read on here.
If you knew anything about AAU and the girls that are on your team then you would know that the teams that they play are usually better than most of the players in this area.
Yes the freshman will make mistakes at times, but name a senior that doesn't make mistakes at times.
Your "young" juniors are playing for there 3rd year now and I am pretty sure all of them getting varsity play during those three years.
Also how can you play down in AAU? I thought that you can only play at your age group or play up............. but I guess that just shows might lack of knowledge about basketball and AAU

You find it funny because i'm right.
I'm not going to keep explaining myself to you, everyone on here knows
you think your always right, so I will leave it at that, and also everyone that does play aau knows what I mean when I say play down, it depends on where your birthdate falls, you can be playing with a 13 yr. old team and be 14 at the time, everyone knows this, what is your problem, and yes in general when you play aau ball, you are usually better than the average player, but we (I) was talking about young players!!! not how experienced they are, and I was answering a question to Minford Mike, but somehow I hit a nerve with you, imagine that, a Minford fan hitting a nerve with an Oak Hill fan. Hope it doesn't have anything to do with us beating you the last 3 times we have meet.

THE NEXT LEVEL:
As a parent of a high school player, I know exactly what u mean. Depending on the birthdate of a player..a freshman could have been playing with players that are currently in 8th grade..this in no way could prepare them for playing against teams of juniors and seniors who are bigger and stronger..I don't care who they have played in AAU..its different..period. Also, the juniors currently have played only 2 YEARS..not 3.. of varsity ball..if they are lucky. So while Mighty Oaks Fan is incapable of understanding your observations..I understand completely. Our freshman will add to our team and develop the experience they need and I'm sure our older juniors and seniors will be there to help them in any way possible..and our coaching staff will be there to help our older players continue to grow in the game..this is what a TEAM is. Even college and pro players continue to practice and mature ..there is never a finished product..great players are always learning..

No nerve hit with me, but knowing the girls that you are referring to, I am stating that they aren't young. Young in terms of age yes, but not basketball.
the nerve that was struck must have been with you. I was stating the obvious, how can you call your "team" young when 8 out of 12 are juniors and seniors. You are the one that is going into the defensive. All you had to say after I stated that they weren't young is to say that you were just referring to the 4 freshman.
I was actually paying them a compliment, something we do in Oak Hill from time to time. Yes your four freshman are young chronologically and mentally they will make mistakes, but they are not young.
Now smile, the season is just getting started. You are going to get really worked up this year if that made you mad.
