I agree bushmaster24. The JV will be a big part of the Varsity team next year. From what i have seen, #24, Emma Shoemaker is a pretty good ball player. She can handle the ball well and she can shoot the 3 ball when she is having a good night. I see her on the Varsity team next year and putting up some pretty good minutes off the bench.

yes, but even though they have speed, compared to what the freshmen were last year they have went backwards. I'm not putting down any of the girls but last year only losing two games and then winning county...that tells me that they shouldnt have two losses now. Especially the lost to alexander, that was not a good game for the young lady falcons that should have been a win. They are a different team this year weather it is a coach (not saying anything about warren) or just a new year. Whatever it is the jv needs to go back to the old team!

THE GENERAL:
The Lady Falcons underachieve over the last 3 or 4 years? Wow.......I am no coach but watching the Lady Falcs over the past 5 years............. underachieving to describe the Ladies is way off base
. Winning the league last year with one loss......the year before that coming in third behind the oaks and Northwest and making it to districts before losing to Northwest........the year before that the districts before losing to Ironton..........I could be wrong but I believe that Coach Conley has had a winning record every year she has been their. Now from what I have seen this year.........the ladies are struggling at the end of games because no one is stepping up and taking the big shot.(and they are still very competitive and in these games........just can't finish them off)......I believe once they can get that figured out they will be back on track! Last year in the tournament they got beat but thats about it when it comes to "underachieving" and Nelsonville was no slouch. So before you get on here and post like your intellectually bankrupt.......you might want to think twice.......You don't come on here and bash teenage girls just for the heck of it...(I have two teenage girls).....Especially when you are dead wrong!

I attended the ladies game tonight against Russel and boy what a game! The ladies came up a little bit short 50-46 against a HUGE and TALENTED Russel team. I heard last night was a tough one so I did not know what to expect tonight. The Lady Falcons played hard and inspired basketball. Thats why I love watching these girls. I thought Abby Donahoe gave them a big lift off the bench tonight. I liked what I saw in Martin and Harris. Also, I thought Spradlin gave them very good minutes. The little freshman girl (Justice) is very solid at the point. One parent told me that every game was a 4-5 point game down there. I think all these tough close games (especially with a freshman point guard) will pay off for my Lady Falcons down the stretch. If they play with that type of emotion it should be fun the rest of the year. I will try to make a few of the home games. I think my Lady Falcs are starting to figure some things out. They looked fresh and confident. As for Russel, I have never seen a high school girls team that big and that physical. Both those big girls could move to!
These type of games will only make you better girls. Good Luck the rest of the way

After watching the Minford games on the web from Boyd County I have come to the conclusion that the coach doesn't want to win or has no idea how to coach. She is the first coach that I have ever seen that would take her best players out of the game and put in young girls who can't score. All the scrambling on the floor and getting the ball doesn't help if you can't even make a lay-up. Not putting down the young ones, but you don't put a cat in a dog fight. Most coaches play the best to the end and don't give up on the girls that have worked hard from the start of the game,it sure didn't work since they lost both games.
