I was told Athens canceled because of injuries.......

They are a D3 school and they can't put enough kids together to play a jv game???

Logan can't do that sometimes unless they play the freshmen too.

Athens is a D3 school, but has a gazillion boys who play soccer, tennis, golf, swimming, band, drama club ... you name it ... they fit well in the TVC because of this. Athens is not a football school like NY despite recent success.

You still have a little over 50 kids playing.........

Over 50 kids on the team and too injured to play a JV game? Man Trimble must have really beat up on them. Maybe Warren has a chance. But I know we've played games with 13-15 kids, it's all about getting experience.

According to your schedule you only have 3 freshmen games. Is that what a full schedule looks like?

I bet they are "healthy enough to play the weak teams on their schedule, aka, I bet they roll a JV team into Warren next Saturday.

Regardless of how many kids they have or whatever they are doing with the freshman. I hope tye kids with injuries heal up quick. Hate to see kids banged up before tye season starts.

The Athens roster that I was given lists 65 kids on it 9-12. I do know that the JV QB and the JV RB were both helped off the field late in the game on Friday night.

Don't get ahead of your self remember who Alex played Thursday night FH they maybe the worst team in ohio.Nothing against the kids that are trying just not getting the rest of them out hard to field a good team with 20 or so kids.I will give them credit they are playing hard not giving up.So 5-5 will be be a great year for Alex if they can get their.I think more like 3-7 or 4-6 at best sorry

Alex looked good at times and at other times they looked a little lost.
Marks and Harris are tye heart of the team. If you can shut them down then you can shut tye Spartans down. Easier said than done though.

Ny looked solid against the run ..if Ny kids gets clicking they could be very good. .where they go from game 1 is on them i think the coaching is there and the talent is there just have to cut down on mistakes and play as a team the wins will come

Obviously you didn't see the game pal. What looked bad was Athens in Week 1 last year giving up almost 70 to Logan.

Actually the Wellston score was not indicative of how the game felt. 24 of those points came late in the game and some of those in the last few minutes in cleanup.

Wellston will compete and surprise some TVC opponents this year I think.

Hall kid throws a very nice ball, passed well. They will put points on a lot of people not just Wellston.
