Hey Bassmaster,

Do you have a feel for the mood around the Meigs team - is Coach Ewing being positive and demanding.

I haven't been to any scrimmages or been to any practices, but I have heard a lot of positives from what the new coaching staff expects and the changes they are trying to make. I heard they had a player quit in the middle of practice last night. :o

Too bad, you hate to lose players, but sometimes it is best. I hope you use a safety harness in that tree stand.

I use the harness all the way up the tree, all the time I am in the tree, and all the way down. You're crazy not to and thanks for asking.

let's agree to close this thread coach ewing at this point deserves our backing.
the kids need to direct their thoughts to playing basketball. if we are to win it means pulling together and sacrificing for the goal of the team.we have bickered, and we can again in march but for now, let our kids know we stand behind them. they are our basketball team for better or worse they represent us. let's go and cheer them on. a winning tradition can start friday and hopefully end along way away. our kids who have been practicing since summer and our parents who have made sacrifices in time and money and general inconvience will show what it all means. good luck meigs, good luck coach, good luck kids. ;-)

Shawn Hawley is a 1992 graduate of Meigs High School. He played tight end and free safety on the football team. I moved him to defensive end his senior year against Miller and he had seven of our eleven sacks that night. He made some pretty spectacular catches during his junior and senior years at Meigs too.

Good luck Coach! =)
