Junior High TVC Wrestling Championships

The OHSAA voted to allot two additional scheduling points for the purpose of having junior high league championships. The first Junior High Tri Valley Conference Wrestling Championships will be held at Nelsonville-York High School on Saturday, January 26, 2008.

This is great news for our kids. The MVL has been doing this for several years, already. Glad to know we have the extra points...anything for more mat time!

just you all poking fun at each other in a good manner and downing each other. Basically having fun with class on here. I go to the basketball section and they just rip each other to pieces over there. I got involved in it at one time but I refuse to even go to there section anymore.
I know belpre has some major issues to address with basketball and their kids. Then someone starts ripping our wrestling program out of nowhere. After all the help we give them for basketball. Our Varsity Wrestling parents do the concession for the basketball team and they start bashing us for having our youth tournament the same day as a basketball game and them having to move their basketball game for youth wrestling tournament which we have had for the last 4 years on the first saturday of feb... They are aweful over there. I am embarrased being from Belpre when people act like that. I guess that makes me thankful I am a wrestling guy.

I heard there were only 5 teams coming. Is that true? Someone also said Warren was coming? I am confused. Anyone have the real low down?

There will be 6 teams N-Y, Belpre, Vinton County, Wellston Trimble and Waterford. The pools are completed and wrestling will begin at 10:00 this will be a very fast tournament. We only need to run 1 mat as with all 6 teams there are only approx. 60 matches the numbers for some teams was very low Vinton with 14 N-Y 11 and Wellston with 11 are the biggest teams after that the other teams only had 4, 5 and 6 wrestlers so it will go fast. There may be low numbers but I do know there is alot of quality kids from all teams.

Otter Thomas says your boy is very tough and real strong. I am sure he will be coming after Thomas tomorrow good Luck to your boy in all your matches except Thomas lol.

It should be fun for all. It will give us all in the TVC a good chance on how we all will do in the future as well. But we know all wrestlers do improve year after year.
Tric thanks for the nice comments. You have a really nice kid on your hands and no matter how good he is his attitude and personality are top quality in my book. good luck you all as well.
