... realistically the Purple should finish with 13 W's on the good side of our pocket schedules ... 13+ would be outstanding for this years group of players ...
Jackson ? Purple has the better athletes ... W
Zanesville? ZHS wins with better athletes/better fundamentals...L
Ironton ? toss up athletically/ fundamentals go to IHS... at home W
Lancaster? Purple better athletically ... at home W
Marietta ? toss up ...LHS better athletes/Marietta better fundamentals ... home W
Gallia ? LHS athletes overwhelm GAHS ... W
Warren? WHS better athletes/better fundamentally ... at Warriordome L
Logan gets the W on the DOC no matter who they play ...
13-7 on the regular season

RIP ... can never count out the players for the Purple ... I was looking at what it looks like on paper to me ... always have to "play the game" anything can happen - who knows Warren may shoot 28% at home again as they did in losing to Maysville at home earlier this season LOL ... THAT game with Warren will be a biggy as I see it coming down to the winner of that game getting the 2 spot in the North division of the league ... with the winner going on to play for 3rd place on the DOC vs probably (Ironton or Portsmouth) ... lots of ALL SPORTS TROPHY points on the line ... the players CAN get it done ...

I saw the game and it was not the prettiest win but if you read the paper it was a total flop on Logan side, even with winning 3 of 4 quarters. Logan also played a considerable amount of bench through out the night and got those young men some valuable playing time. They played all 12 players even with a close game. I think this probably kept the game close.

What's the word on the Zanesville game? I see scores from Zanesville where they have played common opponents and the scores seem somewhat closer than expected. I feel that with a different game plan, home court and a little luck the Cheifs can put a definite scare into Z-ville. They will have to have their A game going and some luck along with belief anyone can win against anyone on any given night. I think this will be an large bang in SEOAL to the team that is leaving.
Cheif's come with confidence, heart and keep the hands up on D.
GO CHEIFS

Landstuhl, we certainly respect the Chieftains because they always play hard, but the last time these two teams met, there was about a 60-point difference. While I would not expect Logan to let that happen again, that's an awful lot of disparity to make up based on confidence, heart and getting their hands up on defense.
