Division II & III Sectionals will be at the Convo in Athens again this year.

You're absolutely right nybucks70-80! I thought it was decided last year to keep it at the Convo! I wish they would have! Plenty of parking, room and a great venu. However, it's good for the local schools to get the fundraising from such an event.

I wish they would hold Districts at the Convo or back in Steubenville. Heath was way too small and cramped...I hated it there! (Sorry, just my opinion.)

They sould have the Sectionals at a HS and the Districts at the Convo.

i can tell u one thing if the boys that wrestled in the past and dont wrestle this year dont they will regret it forever. Coach Yinger is deffenity one of a kind that for sure. I almost didnt wrestle and didnt even show up for about a week but coach yinger made sure i made the right choice. Now i wish i could go back and do it again.

Belpre doesn't wrestle NY this year till TVC. I think that will lead to a more intense tourn.

Belpre has 4 returning tvc champs that are likely to repeat. I predict that they will end the season with 6. If they can score some consolation pts., they should end up near the top of the tvc.

I would like to thank the great minds at Athens for having 2 wrestling events at the same time, at different locations. What was the thinking behind this crap?

Why are they separating the JH and HS meets? I'm sorry, but I agree with nybucks70-80. The N-Y fans like to watch both teams complete. It's not like it takes all night long. Very disappointing.

It is about money for both programs. The Junior High needs to have a gate in order for them to make some money for Junior High needs and then the High school will also have a gate. Junior High starts at 5:30 at the Middle School and then the High School starts at 6:30 at High School. I know my wife was upset she is not going to the Junior High meet because of this, she will only be able to afford the Varsity meet. She was going to try and catch both but with her and 3 kids that could get pricey. Good luck to all teams this season.
