Nelsonville-york didn't put in for games this year. Athens has plenty of seating and plenty of parking.

I enjoyed my trip to Wheelersburg. I loved the stadium and the atmosphere. Great views from everywhere.
Freds pizza was possibly the best I ever had.
The parking at Athens is terrible. Also NY didn't put in for a game but the state has called to see if they would host.

I know a lot of Burg people complain about NY but I like their facility and the people are the nicest people you could ever meet. Love playing there. Would be nice to play there.

Both teams still have tough games upcoming this Friday.

If it were to happen I would guess either Portsmouth or Chillicothe. No way Waverly has the seating to host that game.

Lancaster is in playoffs and if they win tonight, not sure if they would host a Friday night game since they will be playing the next night somewhere else?
Well played there a fee yrs ago against martins ferry. Nice stadium. Not much on parking. The church by the stadium charged for parking
Nelsonville/York has better parking. Will be able to travel a nice bypass. Nothing wrong with going off the main drag for a few miles...plus do not have to worry about Columbus traffic.

Looks like it will be at Logan. Wish it could have been NY! Longer drive to Logan. Oh well. Will still be there rooting on the Pirates!

NY or Logan is much closer than Thornville (Sheridan), New Lex, Marietta, or Byesville. Those all could have been chosen and are a much longer drive for the folks from Wheelersburg. The exit for the field at Logan may be 15 minutes further than the exit for the field at NY, and the field at Logan is much closer to Rt. 33 than NY.

IMHO, just be glad you are still playing and go support your team, regardless of the location.

As you can see I changed what I said after I looked up how far it was. I was thinking it was further. I'm not complaining one bit. I will support the Pirates and drive as far as I have to!

That is about as even of a drive as it gets for both teams. I still wonder what happened to giving the home team the advantage of a closer drive.

PF, My apologies, I didn't mean to give the impression I was calling you out specifically, because I was not. Sorry if you took it that way. I was simply speaking to the overall sentiments that were being expressed on round 2 game locations. It seems like every year, from 2nd round on, people are never happy with where the neutral cite games are played. That certainly is not exclusive to Wheelersburg fans (I know some prepsters from there that I consider friends and I highly respect your sports programs), it seems to be prevalent, especially in round 2 games. You get to round 3, if you are left, people really don't seem to care at that point, because by then, you are REALLY happy just to be playing.

Good luck to the Pirates this week. I am confident that your boys will come out on top.

Logan has an excellent facility with great parking very close to the stadium. Wheelersburg fans who haven't been there before will really enjoy watching a game at Chieftain Stadium.

Good luck to the Pirates!
