I seriously doubt any of the teams I mentioned would decline!

and anyone scared of stepping on any football field should really consider a sport change book reading , soccer , tennis etc etc LOL

It won't be close...the only team in D5 that can beat Burg is Coldwater, and Pirates can win that one too.
I truly hope the burg goes all the way. The burg posters are on a natural high from performing well this year except @ Ironton.
Region 17 is definitely the weekest region in division five. If ColdH20 & Creston Norwayne wasn't around the Burg may have a chance. Get out of your own ego & look around. You played a schedule where the team's you played all had down years except valley. Jackson is not as strong as schedule shows either. They just put together a good run from playoff experience& it showed. Do some homework This will be the firsts& last time division five is unloaded like this with ASVSM, Mooney, URSI, Hartley , ottawaw Glandorf, Jonathon alder, st. Clairsville, Johnstown Monroe, Newark licking Valley, Clinton Massie, & others. They will all drop down or go up after this year.

Have you ever seen Coldwater or Creston Norwayne play?
I have.
Last years final
COLDWATER 62
CCC 21.(formerly undefeated)

CCC handled Hartley prior to this.

Coldwaters league is phenomenal. Several state champs yearly in different divisions with their only losses to each other in league play.

The Cavs are big bad Amish boys.
No 1 plays both ways unless you're a stud.

I'm not hating on the burg you will represent, but I'm just preparing you for the heartache.
I saw Kenton play with each Mauk brother & thought that was amazing.

COLDWATER was unbelievably amazing.
You will not stand a chance.
I am glad you are not From the Burg!!!!

and on side note this thread should never been created but it is what it is!!! if this game happens and the tigers could somehow get a 14 pt lead on burg!!!!!! you guys would be starting basketball very early LOL

Was at both the RH and the Peak game, what are Ironton fans smoking, Rh gave Ironton all they wanted 1st half and then mistakes by RH gave Ironton momentum 2nd half, Peak was giving Ironton more than they wanted and had they not went away from the run in the second half may have had a different out come, and to top that peak's linemen were half the size of Irontons , if somehow Ironton hits the playoffs they will be 1 and done take off the rose colored glasses and open your eyes the past is just that the past, IMO Ironton should pray they don't face the burg again it would be embarassing

I don't understand the hate, really. I mean as a Valley fan, I want the Indians to BEAT the Pirates ever year, but when they don't....I don't root against Burg in the postseason, that's ridiculous.

In the same sentence:
"I hope Burg goes all the way, but you don't stand a chance"

Really?

I'm sorry Ironton is a brown paper bag of what they once were, but is that anyone elses fault?

To be realistic, this game could get Ugly very very fast. Sorry Tiger fans, But Wheelersburg has only gotten stronger week by week. Im Picking the Pirates to win 49-14.

Burgs Oline needs to be faster, and meaner!! They are big but not very good at blocking and moving on into the secondary. They could get huge gains from Howard and Davis but the Oline is too slow right now in getting to the LBs after pealing off their blocks. Need to work on that!!

8-10 yards a carry is pretty good. They are big and punish the dline. Eventually they wear on them and then big plays happen. They benefit from not having to go both ways. I agree the speed is not there like last year, however they are a solid group and have proved that the past 9 weeks. Oh and that super unbalanced line is a nightmare for defenses every where.

Wheelersburg will never be intimidated by anyone. Our teams believe that we are always able to win any game at any time. It is never over until the final whistle blows. Fearless, Bold, Tough!!!

I never said your team, fans, or coaches didn't believe they could win any game. All teams should believe that. That's why there are players, coaches. & fans.
I'm just trying to prepare you for something you won't believe, if you meet one another.
I saw COLDWATER demolish their opponent in last years final. Even if Ironton had lived up to all the hype that was generated. Pre-season, which was promising & we rolled through this year like you have, I'd still be realistic enough to know who is going to take the division championship.
I'd say Anything could happen, perhaps lose their QB & lead RB, but they'd just plug more in & still hold you to 0 or 7 points.
Once again, I want you to win, but I've been there seven times & I was of a younger age, we were undefeated, I believed so hard, & da shazizzle/ ASVSM GIT REVENGE & we got smacked.
I also saw one slip through our fingers in 99 on a 4/1 call I still think was right & that hurt worse.

Enjoy, your season, but it will not end in the way you just said everyone involved with the burg believes. I know when somethings special.
The burg is special this year.
Final four special.
Maybe finals depending on course.
Finals= heartbreak & stunned faces after 4-5 minutes.(Michigan fans on Sparty blocked punt return)

I truly mean that, but it can be taken many different ways, based on sincerity. I root for all SEO teams to win, regardless of who they are.
I would not write what I did, if I had not meet my friends in Columbus last year for thanksgiving week & witnessed what COLDWATER did.
I thought this has to be a fluke. But surrounding fans from Other games around me said" it's not a fluke, their league is unbelievable" & we wouldn't even want to play them.
I asked where they were from... Soon to be state champs division 1 LakeWood St. Edward.
They absolutely would not let CCC's explosive offense stay on the field.
I'm just being straightforward here. Once you've been there enough, it's apples & oranges, especially only taking 2. & seeing is believing.
You'll see.

Coldwater is an awesome program. Nobody will argue that here. But you really sound stupid basing your analysis on what you saw LAST years team do. They graduated ALOT from last year(arguably the best running QB in school history and a good RB and many other starters). They ran the ball a ton. This years offense is a passing team. Very fast on D as usual and great I mean great special teams. LAST years team was IMO unbeatable..... not so sure THIS year

I am glad you are not From the Burg!!!!
Why?
Does the reality that I've already walked virtually the same playoff path many many more times, & I'm far enough away now to see it clearly , cut to the hillside of 52?
When you've lived it enough, you know what's truth & a winning high.
When you're still watching everything & know this, I cannot help to say the truth.
I'm actually looking for property anywhere in the tri-state. I love OHSFB, I'd follow anyone up the playoff path from SEO, even if I felt what I've posted about the Burg's chances were still true. Id WANT THEM DESPERATELY TO PULL OFF THE UPSET. I just know better from experience.
I've never complained about Ironton or whined. I know we have played enough just to win several of these games & we're lucky to do so.
I know the burg has improved since week 1 & don't complain Ironton this/ Ironton that.
I just don't think many people can separate themselves for the passion of their team & reality.
I truly think living it, turning 50, & moving away from it all, lets you be able to be honest with yourself and speak it, & stand behind it.
That's all,
Neighbor! (J/k)
I'm looking for a flipper for my retirement home in Huntington, Ashland, or Ironton. (Tri-state)
